Weak Phalanges
5-23-15

Hearing of the Gentiles that also heard the word
Somewhere, anywhere
In the epicurean chews his curd
The natural man cannot understand
Such in shifting sand
In today's personal medicine
We cannot see the wind blow
We can only see its results
They will oppose the wonder expressed
By a wow disputing with Cyrenial
I go out for another
Wrestling with Alexandria
For a token and sign
Of a supernatural realm
So flies our scarlet eagle
They still oppose the wonder
And still inquire "What is that!"
Our members are self absorbed
You are the tool God uses
To bring them to a mush
I make due with weak phalanges
And proceed regardless....

Now
5-23-15

Now the apostles and brethren in Judea heard
As I got back up to delve deep today in the word
Starting out the day with Van the man
Sounds like a good plan
Come to your senses and sober up
Nothing but good coffee in my cup
It soothed me to my soul
The servant must not strive
But thank God to be alive
It stumped me just like going home
And a high five
The gospel is like a caged lion
Needing to let her out of her cage
As so turned again is the page
doubting nothing
Making no distinction
And no more road rage...

Noose
5-23-15

Drunk on themselves
With books on their shelves of a magic night
I scribble these words
In that I have that right
In the night like a thief
Take away my heartache
Stop here for awhile and go back to sleep
For an hour or more
One hour till I am officially reborn
and it's ever present everywhere
Drunk in a snare I was
And life is fair
I was in a noose
For that vinegar juice
They were not able to resist the wisdom
And Spirit by which he spake
O, sow seeds and give them out
My poetry to share
When that fog horn blows
I want to stay up now that I'm up
God bless as well the inducers
In a want to confuse the flock
In that we again can grow wiser....

On Acts 6:10
5-23-15

Gossip betrays all confidence
Like choice morsels
Going into the deep and inward parts
As one to play cards in the dark
Without wood the fire goeth out
Without gossip the quarrel dies down
Let it end with you
My friend these dreams so real and so true
Quite repetitive
Use the tongue to but edify
Waiting for my eight avocados to ripen
God bless as well our inducers
To blind us so that we can see
Soon time to fix my hair
And get ready to go out to lunch with Mother
They were not able to resist the wisdom by which he spake
As I get my song down in just one take...

Not So
5-23-15

Write memory verses on cue cards
Sow your seeds and give them out
Gossip separates good friends
I eat the toast and leave the ends
I slept in a little bit longer
And I feel oft refreshed
Won't set date for our dooms day
Nothing happened
I believe in my Soul
That if someone knows
It will not come to pass
Do not receive an accusation
Against an elder except by two or three witnesses
What can that mean to me
O, how can it apply
Do not entertain it
Let it end with you
Have ears to hear
Let the hand of the love of God
Have you to understand it
Rise, Peter kill and eat
Not so....

good deeds

Good Deeds
5-22-15

Good deeds become popular to do as of today
Meeting needs become unappealing
In the Word come what may
evangelism is an act of compassion
Not to rope in followers
Not to change their fashion
But to share and say that you care
Be as One to start to pray
About what you can say that you care
Here now and today
To share but not to change the color of their hair
Evangelism is an act of wisdom
Take what you know and put it into action
Give your time as a sacrifice of love
In the other translation it reads
A wise person wins friends
God is a consuming fire
Go, travel, traverse
Move, meander
Even around all unknown bends...

Happy 42
5-23-15

Happy birthday me, myself and I
My latest trinity
With maya and beautiful cacophony
My right hand almost two numb to write clearly
But I must make it work with my interstellar overdrive
And glad in my gourd to be alone
Sun up
I fill again my cup
And O, incentive now I thrive
Agenda today
Salad bar with Mother
And soon a cigarette with a hacking brother
Starting with my fresh batch
And in the Euphrates my honest catch
O, give your time as a sacrifice of love
and that you can thank your God above
Happy birthday...

Extinguished
5-23-15

The sun is up
My lamp is extinguished
I fill my cup
And my chosen joy is distinguished
With my interstellar overdrive
Go, travel, traverse
Move and meander for your fresh verse
I want to stay up now that I am vertical
He is killed like a criminal
And my right hand is almost too numb to write
But I proceed regardless
Learning to inhabit my mortal frame completely
God is a consuming fire
I suppose he is jealous of my idol
Namely what I do here
Starting to pray about what I can say
Where darkness is increased by One
Action brings good fortune come sunrise
And a cinnamon bun for the doctors
And the teachers of the law within...

Interact
1-23-15

How do we lovingly interact
With those who still disagree
Now he's designed to his fate
Happy birthday myself and me
Much more here to create
The sun is up and now I can see
Tomorrow I return to the spiritual hospital for the hurting
Where we lift each other up with exhortation
Where surrendering lives seek to serve one another
In a world that opposes all hope in my faith
I still love you
We never said goodbye
God promised his Word won't return void
As I start out my birthday weekend with old Floyd
O, how do we lovingly interact....

Too Chilly
5-23-15

Too chilly to smoke comfortably
But far from numb
For Stephen full of faith and power
The fight between the gloom you once knew
Jesus is still the great physician
To sow a verbal seed
And meet my herbal need
To research Patmos of what the doctor ordered
The sound resounds in crossing our northern border
In how to lovingly interact
God has something to say to us all
As the oak stands firm and tall
We bark its twigs and light up a few more cigs
Wherein the natural man cannot comprehend it on his own
Don't expect the world to understand your faith
In lime and limpid green
I try to tell you just what I mean
Of members self absorbed  we are shown
How to deal with those that stand without
Too chilly....

adventure

Adventure Worth Taking
5-22-15

Switching over to Genesis on my Sony
Collins was a good drummer
Far from being called a phony
Bringing back my days of rebellion
Stubborn and stony
Now I feel like a leaf thrown in the stream
As again tonight I'll have that retail work dream
I say a prayer for all churches
That the Spirit will flow through in all places
In that I still remember exact conversations and names and faces
Forgetfulness is not the amnesia
As such hate will only lead to cancer
Not a way to live
O, may us all forgive
Man does not live on bread alone
The sign of ones salvation is love
Where the hawk will get along with the dove
Evangelism is a journey and an adventure worth taking
Let it go
It's in the past
As later on tonight I break my fast....

Love Is Not Dead
5-22-15

Ready to plummet into complacency any hour now
Need the strength to go out and get milk
Given the wherewithal and the know how
As I dwell in dreams of cotton and silk
A freaky fetish I picked up along the Way
I have tasted that the milk of the word is gracious
I hear a voice say, "You did enough already today
So go there and see"
An adventure motivated by compassion
Not to rule with a rod of iron
After judgment and its fashion
We need to let our light shine
To prove that Love is not dead
Where the devil whispers you are wasting your life
See the opportunity in the difficulty
I'm ready to plummet
God is accessible in every place
And in every posture
Stay seated if you like
God's love endureth forever
Love is not dead...

All Are Called
5-22-15

Twenty-five thousand free bibles
Are given out by the free gift of eternal life
In what it's all about
I hope you get yours
To evangelize can become addictive
On a good note
Hey, what ever floats your boat
The first word is Go where you will
See the work out of service is the word No
All are called to such
So that deep roots can grow
Come the ninth hour of the day
This place seems like a ghost town
All things become new
When given us is a ministry of reconciliation
As we are ambassadors in this dispensation of grace
I cannot think of a better place
Giving way to the dispensation of judgment
I want to refrain
As poison flows through my every vein
Be courageous
Bring glad tidings
And soon we'll get our needed latter rain...

Go, Know, Show
5-22-15

Everyone can say something about it
Even those whom still yet but doubt it
For Go, the directive
By Know, the declaration
For Show, the demonstration
The dog sees the leash and wants to go for a walk
Some still say no
Many feel yet unworthy to talk
And so you say I ought to write something of my own
In a world of rejection where I feel as if I stand alone
Peter goes to Caesarea yet to meet Cornelius
It was all part of the master plan
Five hours till I get my medicine
Doubting nothing, making no distinction
I am one to judge those that judge
This is still mere judgment
And all are guilty of it
Everyone can say something...

Leash For Walk
5-22-15

For territory you've never been to before
I am satisfied to wake at the hour of four
A puppy finds out what a walk is
And is eager to submit when we get out the leash
With Jesus going out on an adventure
To see what's going on down the road
Highway twenty-four today is a fender bender
Why not go for a walk
Afraid of rejection and of humiliation
Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks
I fell in love one day when I pulled up a chair
This has already in God been arranged
For me to go there and see
Study to show yourself approved
Go there and see and you will be moved....

gazelle

Gazelle
5-22-15

When his eyes were opened
He saw no one and no thing
Ananais here I am
I see men walking as trees
Seemingly a Tolkien metaphor
For the ultimate manifestation
Of desire that shapes the heart broken down
Go, for he is a chosen vessel
Absolved by this redemption
I still love to smoke and rock and roll
And in the year of fifteen
My personal record is already broke
For quantity not my only dream and goal
Falling from his eyes something like scales
All is well with his soul
Yet to tarry at Damascus several days
As do I this weekend
This is all I want to do
For my Dorcas, my gazelle...

Demurred (You've Got It)
5-22-15

Voice within says, "You've got it"
Whisper in my left ear says, "You've bought it"
The worst that can happen is that I'll slip into being indisposed
Unavailable, absent, inundated, willing, fluent
And by the world hated
Giving my Sony a rest
I let her sleep
Losing my incentive for complexity
O, how long will ye love simplicity
He is the Son of God
Peter's confession says it all
Desire to become the saint is sufficient
Escaping again into Jerusalem
As the sixth hour passes smoothly
For Lydda tarrying near Joppa admittedly symbolic
Peter demurred and right beside me Grace has purred
I must learn to forgive everyone that ever has wronged me
Up in the air symbolic of our heaven
Taking not extra thought or care of such strange leaven
Rise Peter, kill and eat
Not so, Lord
You've got it....

Passing The Sixth Hour
5-22-15

Boldly at Damascus
Call this gibberish for a will to be free
Of all such captivity
I thought I saw my shadow
And I said a prayer that I would face up to him
And even love him like a brother
For Lydda at Joppa to the upper room
Getting poetic constipation
So I eat my prunes in peace
What God has cleansed
You must not call common or unclean
A great sheet bound at four corners
O, what can this come to mean
Mad today for fluorescence
And the growing in of deeper hues of green
If I lose, O so be it
Because tomorrow is my birthday
And I live and die again to Him
With the peace of today
A certain man of Caesarea called Cornelius
Boldly at Damascus
I share a cigarette by faith
It's nothing but dreaming anyhow...

Four Visits (I Face Up To It)
5-22-15

Come to Jerusalem
Four visits after his conversion
I quote a familiar tittle
And I write my own version
Lord cause me to hate no longer
So I can learn to love them all and be stronger
For peace in quiet hours
For Peter's vision of a great sheet
Where soon we murmur by reason of the heat
It's only road construction
No reason to get flogged or even beat
Come the object taken up as the subject of our conversation
What am I going to do with all of this music
Come to Jerusalem and hear something even better
Preaching peace through Jesus Christ
By the theme of salvation through faith
Memories of sawdust
Let it go
It's in the past
Doubting nothing
Making no distinction....

Weal Is Me
5-22-15

Facing up to my shadow
He is a gentle giant
I might be a pagan
Stand thyself up
I myself am also just a man
Victory over his image and his number
Reaching into the pickle jar to partake of a cucumber
Standing on the sea of glass
Taking initiative to report on back to class
I give up again on my hair bands
Looking for diversions in dark alleys
In hopes to come to terms with the truth
Of the seven angels and the seven last plagues
Weal is me
I'm still standing on my two legs
I looked and saw the temple
We are clothed in purple linen
Seven vials and seven stars
Seven wiles and seven black cars
Facing up to it
Weal is me...

distractions

Many Distractions
5-22-15

The boss said that there would be many distractions
And the dentist tells me I'm in need of no more such abstractions
I count my blessings
I take what is coming
For ten drummers drumming
And higher forms of satisfactions
Luke chapter twenty
Where that comes from there is plenty
My goal this weekend is to share
They become my assignments
And I'm not afraid to care
I may be late in coming through
In a clean change of underwear
Hatred is just as bad as murder
In that out of the desires of the heart so comes war
Too late for Ulysses S. Grant
Instead I deal with my tens and twenties
And higher forms of plenties
Yesterday I had my coffee unleaded
And today I'll be in my excess
Faith accounted to as righteousness
Roll onto the south Pacific
The boss said it would be hard to maintain focus
I put in my time
Many distractions...

Silver Rail
5-22-15

I'm your silver rail
I will miss the mark
I will fail only to try again
To hit the head on the nail
And get the point of the message
And invest ten dollars in the cause of giving
South into Jamnia
And then into Azotus
Cat leaps back up between me and my bible
Who's driving my car now
It is not pride to acknowledge
That God gives you a gift
As long as it doesn't lead to arrogance
This will do for sober judgment
In knowing only who you are
In God here, Now and today and not someday
Moses is named the meekest man on the face of the earth
To be a gentle giant pulling punches
Meek men are mighty ministers and life is good
I'm your silver rail...

Stiffnecked
5-22-15

Take credit where it is due
Yet to edit that which might pertain to you
Need to polish up diamonds in the rough
Need to improvise in ones ways of being courageous and tough
Our freedom wars worth fighting for
But not to kill but to conquer oneself
Faith is accounted as righteousness
Acts chapter seven
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised of heart
Verse fifty-one known as the true work of art
To but be humbled
Where many before have stumbled
Prayer is one of my ministries
Just like the cookie that crumbled
Do it today, don't wait till July
It was a good experience
The preacher says I'm just a man
Starting out the sermon with an invitation
And I go up there to kneel down
And to pray for somebody
And give them an holy hug....

Stiffnecked (Part Two)
5-22-15

Neil on my Dell
And Testament on my Sony
In matters of heaven and hell
In saying that nothing here and now is phony
While concerned with the present moment, it is real
Still going my own way
Stiffnecked
That's just the way I feel
Giving life to the ancient One
Don't make obedience optional
Such is not a word only for the growing boy
Slow obedience is no obedience
Into subjection
I lose my erection
I'm just a man
But still believe in the resurrection
At least I'm honest
Turning the podium over to Stills
As I drink just as much coffee as God wills
solo albums
As so my time it kills
Stiffnecked
Still going my own way..

Straight Up
5-22-15

We look on the outward
God sees the heart
We look for manifestations
Where faith is in what we cannot see
And it's a work of art
God puts a message in him
To give to us
That's the beauty in it
Getting off to another good start
For frondescence and photosynthesis
I'm not one to tell you what to do
Reading letters from Damascus concerning me and you
Toward the South at noon
It is a command to open your mouth
But not too late nor too soon
Arise and go into the city
See your way by the light of the full moon
It is hard for you to kick against the goads
What do you need to prove on rocky roads
Arise and go into a street called Straight
Laying down all weapons and to relinquish all hate
We look on the outward
God sees the heart....

afterhyperpolarazation

After hyper polarization
5-22-15

Twenty-five rifles
Just to keep the population down
I'm not above suspicion
Out here on the east end of town
Don't want to step in the wet cut grass
Setting them free in the factory
The boss will let you pass
Remembering my first online church experience
I was missing out on the fellowship
But I truly dug the information
Roaming to and fro
Looking for somebody's heart
For after hyper polarization
What a mouthful to even try to pronounce
Not for pride but to be a witness of what I have seen
Hear the sirens on thee, sure inspiration
For more poetry and prose
Yes, Jesus knows....

No More Partial
5-22-15

To consecrate Jesse
To look at Eliab
And see something new within yourself
Look not on the outward appearance
Nor upon physical stature
David is chosen for what would lie deep down inside
God looks upon the heart
Regard no one according to the flesh
And be not partial
On the base, Phil Lesh
Not the best at singing yet authentic
Yet to find where God will call me
Stephen full of faith did wonders
For the erroneous error
And its monumental mistake
Infamous they call him
As the face of an angel
And he gave up the ghost
While saying let not their sin be laid to their charge
Meekness small but at large....

Time For A Bath (Revisited)
5-22-15

A collection just to look upon
Thousands of dollars squandered
To enhance my poetic life
Hail Mary full of grace
O, prepare for us a place
Hurt people hurt people
Still regarding stained glass windows
And the height of the steeple
Esteeming that which looks good
A drug addict might become a future pastor
No, don't pull the plug
Say goodbye to a part of the flesh
Known as the circumcision of the heart
Weal is me, a Jew inwardly
A sign promised to show that you were a lawkeeper
A drastic change in lifestyle
In that I used to be a daysleeper
Abraham was at one time an idolater
Don't pull the plug on me quite yet
As so I light another archangelic cigarette
Hail Mary full of grace...

Rocking
5-22-15

The warrior's rocking
The spirits will guide you
For doors to be locking
The Irish Spring soap so will pride you
I feel another ounce of peace coming on
With the Spirit inside you
Humble people have a holy purpose
And mine is just to share
Tell us by what authority you do these things
Today my time flieth as the clock grows wings
Fuck the spellcheck
I do it my way
Hatred is just as bad as killing
Tracing the stains where coffee is spilling
The Holy Spirit is speaking in Stephen
In present tense as if I were there in person
O, are these things so!
Joseph rejected by his own brothers
As flesh over faith
I'll be a rocking
As a prayer warrior for them all...

Out To See The Sky
5-22-15

Seeking out my GABA
Our inhibitory neurotransmitter
Calling his name Abba
In a need for glutamite
I love you for being strange
All over you, all over me
Seeking out my MSG
As well as my serotonin
Madness is a fascinating science
In a need to change the ways I write
In a tablet such as this
Diverse in its smaller spaces
Warm milk before bedtime
Increases such a derivative to tryptophan
A whispered word in my malfunction
See the sky about to rain
For frondescence
Concerning endogenous morphine similar to opiates
More didactic than poetic
To break it down the middle
All for synaptic plasticity
I hope to attend the picnic on Monday
And bring my poetry around....

frondescence

Frondescence
5-22-15

God bless frondescence
Truth be known
God bless photosynthesis
No longer with a heart of stone
God bless this constant change
We don't need to go it alone
Solomon builds us a house
God will provide us a place to do our thing
However the most High dwells not in temples made by hands
The true church is You
even on shifting sands
You took up the tabernacle of Moloch
Hold onto your faith
Acts chapter eight
The first missionaries
Now Saul has consented to Stephen's stoning
With Phillip's ministry at Samaria
I ramble, I gamble
And make the best of my shamble
Downtown alright
O, receive my Spirit
He wants us to want him
Frondescence.....

For Peace And Love
5-22-15

Those that were scattered go out to teach
And I must say that I am not one to preach
They crank theirs so I crank up mine
And we can live in peace and love
As brothers distant
Concerning the tent of the testimony
Such is as you
For peace and love
Where the hawk can dwell with the dove
Catkins for all our sins
The sunlight wins for garbage bins
Living in time no longer
Wanting to be identified by it
I write this sloppy rhyme for peace and love
Heaven is my throne
Pardon the exaggerated analogy
Wherein we are heirs of peace and love
O, what house will you build for me
As trees soon are fully green
For peace and love
We can always get it back.....

Standing Order
5-22-15

We won't be scarred like that
The sun truly is up
Throw all hatred down
And fill again your cup
And when they learn of these things
They are cut to the heart
An old fashioned way of saying pissed off
Throw your weapons down and learn war no more
As Stephen bears true witness against them
Given the victory over the image
And his many as one to still prefer the dark
The sun is truly up
I alone tempt you
Having our harps of gold
By his resolve it never gets old
To learn the song of the land
And to boldly say, yeah I am
Gideon with golden girdles
To gather for potatoes and ham
We won't be scarred like that
Standing on the sea of glass
At least we're standing...

South Into Gaza
5-22-15

More blue lines mean a longer poem
In his notation
Just like yesterday's sunset
I still miss out in that I rarely go out my west gate
For coinage and for money
Tomorrow is my birthday
In the presence of my struggle
O, give me this power he so would request
But it is something that could not be purchased
By what is corruptible
North into Caesarea
Passing through Samaria
With spiritual malaria
Many will go to sleep so that they can dream
Led as a sheep to the slaughter
He knew what would become of him
South into Gaza
Phillip journeys
Where the confusion sets in
Soon to bring its clarity
And the greatest of these things is charity....

West Of The Jordan
5-22-15

Toward the south at noon
Open your mouth for the truth is coming soon
By the space of a thousand furlongs
And the writing of many more songs
Dry but moist
High and in no need to hoist
Asking why where the inquiry is not voiced
Into Joppa
Into Antipatris
Peter journeys
He to the circumcision
West of the river Jordan
O, will we cross
Will we put in extra time to please the boss
Set me up and spin me all around
You are not the one, no sir
Pitching in Judea
We have a long, long way to go
Pick me up and put me back down upon the ground
O yeah, I pipe in quality sound
A contradiction has been imagined
But O, is it real!
