Nostrum
6-2-15
Go and proclaim
Know his Word and name
Take it slow and play the game
Don't try to force it
Still in love with madness
And its core delusion
Where Crazy is a good thing with sadness
Return, O backsliders
That float from mountains on hand gliders
Need that morning fix
Four, five, six
According to my mixology
I try two flavors together
And simply talk about the weather
Starting with a fresh batch
Another nostrum
A secret quack remedy
But all will be well
Go and proclaim...
Oldmixen
6-2-15
Looking for Oldmixen
To befriend my seductive vixen coxcomb
Conceited and shamefully entreated
For opiates and sedatives
At the chime of five
The path so leads to all the darkness in the north
And I am ready today to bring my true self forth
Given pastors to feed us with knowledge and understanding
No longer uncouth
and now that I've turned forty-two
I know not if I can say to be beyond my youth
For opiate and her synthetic derivatives
Beauty is overrated
In that I love you
Just the way that you are...
Arras
6-2-15
Hanging another arras
Meeting up with my Taurus
Where labile emotions in rings want to spar us
Nauseated and squeamish
I write to the heart of matters
O, beautiful cacophony
O, purple haze
O, madness
I come to listen to your song again
Making happy another virgin pen
Given this meaning
My basic essentials
I'm ready to go with no extra added needed credentials
I don't need to know
Hanging another arras of Flemish origin
With morning dew on my big toe....
Hartshorn
6-2-15
For the antler and the hart's horn
As an ox treading out of the corn
O, bless God the day when I was born
Used as a source of ammonia in smelling salts
To be amazed where oneself the randy yet exalts
Home and dry
I was happy to be last night
After being drenched in a storm passing over
With my ecomium and tribute
I say to my hero
O, backsliding Israel
Ye still are and shall come anew
Out of the land of the north
For our goodly heritage
Of the host of mansions...
Return
6-2-15
Many waters cannot quench love
The bride speaks to Solomon from within and above
To hear the sound of light
And take the challenge
To live on earth with happiness and strife
Baby's waiting there for you
Like his treasure, O listen to this water
And give the sound of life for Penelope
For Danaans For Asreris
And the aster composite for you and I
For everyone there will come an answer
A voice is heard upon high
Places with weeping and supplications
Of the children
O, return ye backsliding
You can always get back in there...
Return (Part 2)
6-2-15
For thralldom in my captivity
In bondage according to ones nativity
Come servitude
We can talk about it and come and reason
Where the world's beauty is in season
To waylay, to lie in wait
With so much more to say
And no more to hate
For whitecaps by the crest and foam
A beachcomber as one whom scavenges
For the wayfinder and her summoner
We are called together to convene
We are perfect just the way that we are
As a slave and serf
And no need to claim our turf
Return...

Gershom
Gershom (Born To The Purple)
6-1-15
Cigarette lighter three inches in length
The smoke is not judged today by its strength
Ambition can make one look pretty ugly
O, what can this mean
But to give me something to do
Another study on Hosea
A lesson in adultery
Jesus gets jealous
For treasure and supply cities
And Hebrew midwives
If I stay home I will save my fifty dollars
A bush burned but not consumed
A people greater and taller than you
Are of the son of Gershom
Born to the purple
She wears it well
Level at the cross
We toll the bell
God bless the grass and trees
In this torrential rain....
Molasses
6-2-15
He is called Moses
Because she drew him out of water
As we confront thorns of roses
And esteem the Pharaoh's daughter
Prairie wind blowing through my head
It seems that everything has been done and said
For Raamses and Pithom
For Shiphra and Puah
These are my main morning essentials
I have been a stranger in a strange land
My religion is my profession
I have also been a bible scholar
Even in not going to classes
I wake up and I'm dying
Stuck in molasses...
Spelt Stand Fast
6-2-15
I have been a stranger in a strange land
I have no means this morning to come to understanding
Got only three hours of sleep
Things got out of hand
Seven nations mightier than thou
All I need to think about is right now
Falling back in love with madness
Wanting something even if it means my sadness
By my bricks and their quota and tale
Covet not what belongs to your neighbor
By the flax and barley struck
And I am a sitting and lucky duck
As the wheat and spelt stand fast
Let us make the morning last
I'm turning purple...
Plagues
6-2-15
Water, frogs and lice
I have been naughty and nice
Flies, murrain and boils
The man up too early yet toils
Hail, locusts and darkness
I have my coughing fit
And the river of green is sliding unseen
And my snake recoils making for the sea
Making for me
A fresh batch
The land of Goshen set apart
And safe and sound
Forty chapters of the hard stuff
I am in dire need of something more....
It's Too Early
6-2-15
Companions listen for my voice
A four hundred thirty year sojourn
Praying for my cough to subside
The firstborn consecrated
I pray for all to amend
For the two sons of Zipporah
I get an early start
Believing that God has a reason
By the bitter waters of Marah made sweet
When a tree is cast in
I can almost thank him
That no one is without sin
Time to go back to sleep
At least for another two hours
It's too early...

going purple
Going Purple
6-1-15
Going full circle again
For my purple people eater
I might be stood corrected
On what this can mean to me
Goliath nine feet and one span
As for me walking down easy street
The best way that I can
But to stay in from the heat
To carry out my plan
Going full circle again in book sixteen
Reading Philemon
In another dream of befriending my demon
Facing up to it just to get through it
Purple is her favorite hue
And I am glad to have met up with you
Share your secret
All will talk
Going purple...
Mahanaim
6-1-15
How beautiful are my feet
In sandals as hers
Where I get in touch with my critics and scandals
Your head crowned
Like Mount Carmel for my Mahanaim
Of these two camps to send post cards
With no needs of stamps
Also known as the Park
The mountain where Elijah confronted those of Baal
And as well for my Damascus
A city in Syria
Going commercial
Canticle thirteen
The past is recalled
When Baal Hamon is revisited
How beautiful are your feet
That bring glad tidings
She comes to find it there...
Stop Here For Awhile
6-1-15
In affectionate anticipation
I respond to another invitation
The vices to burn out on the edge of the smoke
It gives her hope
God will provide a place for us to gather again
But in the meantime I confront my purple
By way of this black pen
Scarlet, crimson, lavender
Call it what you will and show discernment
Many waters cannot quench the love that already has come to pass
She has the fire from palm to palm
In most religions such a love is the most important thing
Stop here for awhile and watch and pray
In affectionate anticipation
She's always dancing...
Purple Palpate
6-1-15
Skies grow dark after a two hour reverie
I see the lightning flash for instant inner peace
See the day jay jam out in me
Pining and lovelorn wining and dining
For wheat and corn
I let it all pass over
To look for Charles Darwin
Seeking guidance from within
For amber waves of purple
Animals are said to have no need of redemption
Where the purple rolls on
And the day goes dark at two
Praying for wisdom and ambition and determination
To succeed and to palpate by touch....
Purple Robe
6-1-15
Solidarity of unity or agreement of action or feeling
Among these of common interest
I just want to thank you Jesus for wearing that purple robe
I put my life today in your hands
As purity produces power
And the prudent understands
Praying for wisdom
I stay humble today
And put my trust that the power stays on
God bless the ground that is rained upon in gentleness
In pulling punches and free lunches
My gentile giant speaks
For his robe of purple...
Be Ye Separate
6-1-15
Day nine hundred in February of twenty-thirteen
Bury me out on the prairie
Where I find just what my purple can mean
Starting out again in the minor prophets
I have more plans than I have time for
With Hosea and Gomer
Known as a strange couple
And my past tense ashtray
Seven inches in diameter
As part of me is a nonsmoker already
O, be ye separate
I am shown the courage
That I don't yet understand
For purple
Look for the formula
To determine the circumference...

into galatia
Into Galatia
5-23-15
Suffering draws you apart from worldly pleasues
To bring you to He
Sometimes we get what we ask for
In that we can still clearly see
Right back where it began
Jesus finds Phillip
Can anything good come out of Nazareth
Come and see
I will give you the sure mercies of David
So you can write a new song
By the Greek noun of magos we draw close
And cast our lots
And have again our hots
For the wee lass in our thoughts
Some kind of magic
Of our past in its glory
East into Galatia
Across the sea into Cyprus
No man ought to be an island as such
With the mainland and with someone get in touch
Under a fig tree napping or reading
Healing or still bleeding
I keep the primal sound
Where trials abound....
With Love (Psalm 139)
5-23-15
Reading the accent of Jacob's ladder
Afraid of the asp and the adder
Everyone that asks receives
Pray for patience
Get the trial and hold your horses
And dig in your heels
My God, why does my life matter!
What will you do with me
Just be honest and share all that you can see
This knowledge is quite wonderful
For thee Lord, you know what I can come to be
Yes, you understand my thought
Where can I flee from your presence
Time to reflect better days to reason
Of favor and another good flavor
With God darkness is as light
Not to rule with a rod but with love...
Marvel And Live
5-23-15
Behold your despisers
Teach them to love, marvel, perish and live
And seek what lies above
Off to anoint me with the oil of gladness
Ask God, why does my life matter
what will you do with me
To but transcend
Now it happened in Iconium
And I'm all dressed up and ready to go
O, ho, ho
Where can I run
Towards your presence to see you there
Darkness bringeth the fear of the unknown
Such must dissipate in the face of light
Read the words of Solomon
Where time is not an obstacle
In the course of innocence
I have this plethora
Time is not an obstacle to his intimacies
Two hours ago I turn forty-two
For I work a work in your days
That you will not believe
Fleeing to the cities of Lyconia
Behold your lovers
I will meet you there again
Marvel and live...
Into Iconium
5-23-15
What is the meaning of life
Other than glory and love
How do we relinquish all strife
But to seek these things above
Ten true summers long
Stay in where it's cool
And it's cool with me
Without love its value is taken away
Knowing my plethora
Angels appear to our shepherds
There's going to be a baby born in the manger
Our Christmas theme we can know all year round
The bible has more crime than what is on television
Something in it for everyone's taste
Of this plethora
By the greatest commandment
To love vertically and horizontally
The King of kings is born to us all....
Vertical And Horizontal
5-23-15
Past tense British accent
Distracts and thwarts my purpose
To study myself to be approved
Having persuaded the multitudes
To appoint and to choose to anoint
In nothing to lose
Not to reject it
Yet to thrust it from you
I have set you in the light of the Gentiles
That you should be for salvation
To the ends of the earth
I fear not today my possible outcome
Love God vertical
Love others horizontal
In this you will triumph
The hard question, what is the meaning of this life
God is not afraid of these difficult inquiries
A collection just to look upon
A plethora, abundance
Of what God wants for me
Here, Now and today
On the next Sabbath
I do it all again....

famine
Predicting Famine
5-23-15
I wasted my substance on riotous living
I love you, my God no matter what happens
Needing another new lining in my waste basket
But nothing is squandered and I will not know a casket
We think we have all that we are meant to
If you do not believe it will not be established
Sometimes we ask but we ask amiss
Squeezing my avocado to see if it soft enough to cut
Happy with my life even if I might be in a rut
The way that lovers do
Brought back into Antioch
Such a place is my home away from home
Where Agabus stands up
Predicting a famine
In that today I give thanks for this abundance
Known to dance the night away in dreaming
Also in the days of Claudius Caesar
We yet hunger...
Ode To Lucius
5-23-15
Who had been brought up
The foster brother
My only request today is to be a blessing to Mother
Saying hello again to Madame George
As one to scarf it down and gorge
I love you my God no matter what happens
Herod blasphemes and dies and another baby cries
Because he cannot enunciate the way he feels
Because of her gladness
She did not open the gate still asking amiss
O, take away all this hate
Wanting power yet misunderstanding
Youtube works again praise the Lord
All she needed was some rest
All to catch the light in the stream of consciousness
Beneath the surface of common days
Praying for a girl because she is beautiful
Put not the cart before the horse
My only request today is well being
Greeting Lucius of Cyrene
And newfound freedom and what it can mean....
Have Coolness (Travel)
5-23-15
Ye ask amiss
To spend it on pleasures
Where your heart is so will be your treasures
Apostles daily walk with Jesus
And call it their leisures
They try to position themselves for popularity
Asking amiss for states of magnification and its bliss
When they want power and fail to understand it
Cool air through my east window
Ten true summers is something to believe in
If you want to be great then just serve
I have other wagons to get on and to step aboard
Things to give up for the good Lord
Northwest into Asia from Lycia
Have coolness we will travel
Ye ask amiss....
Serve
5-23-15
Who do you think I am
I am not he but behold
There comes One whose sandals I am unworthy to unloose
There's a truth in this to hear and to give up fear
And to choose ones cheer
Passing through Pamphylia
Take one step beyond thee
Love of others will see you through
In all that we truly are
Ten true summers
The sons of thunder will walk with us today
Through Perga and into Attalia
One more cup of coffee before I go
He whom God raised up saw no corruption
Take one step beyond and no disguise
God has fulfilled this for us in his children
First called Christians in Antioch
And a door that I need not lock
Collecting visions
Stealing moments
If you want to be great then just serve....
Washing Feet
5-23-15
To raise the pen
To reinvent the title
Another tablet as one to repent
Changing the way I think
Watching the last train to nowhere
Put it behind you and never again slip through the cracks
O, such a dream I hold fast to
We were made for each other
Who desires to be great, let him serve
Even if his only holding I bear
Jesus washed their feet to take part in them
I am happy just where I sit
And I need not leave my front door unless I choose
To don't ask for well being
To have glory in yourself
But to be a blessing
Jesus washes their feet
Ask to love others in such a desire
As Christ loved us
The right thing to ask for
Anderson and Squire, my morning task...

possibilities
Possibilities
5-23-15
He forgives all your iniquities
He lives and heals all your diseases
In my stomach I've got the words
A promise to claim even above the name
So is the Word
O, stay in the game
No end to his forgiveness
Another lion to tame
Not a license to sin
But a chance to change
Leave behind all anger and resentment
This is no way to live
Forgive the crime
Cancel its penalty and pardon
Avocados in the refrigerator harden
I take them out till they get ripe
Good means better in all things the world has to offer
And not as flawless
Where the healing has begun
I see a mess, God sees a ministry
I see a problem, God sees possibilities
To make love underneath the stars
He crowns you with lovingkindness
And tender mercies
Where God doth fill in the blanks...

Better off upright
So I have no time to dwell on it
To saddle up my black beauty
And be One to get on it
Where the healing has begun
He crowns you with lovingkindness
A crown to represent ones victory
We cast it down at his feet
Three more hours
I ought not start the countdown
It's all in this wonderful game
He satisfies thy mouth with good things
Good meaning better but not flawless
God will fill in the blanks
And I will continually give thanks
In the post resurrection
Many still had infirmity
Delivered to our four squads
Many lovers and many gods
Otherwise known as quaternions
I love the language
Such might be an idol
But it points me toward him
With a small bouquet
Better off upright...

For Herod Agrippa the first
This afternoon I hunger and thirst
I come home to lay down and die
But thankful to live another year
Me with myself and I
My trinity under the blue sky
To the church at Antioch
And a new name, Christian
As simple as that
Right next to my cat
According to Oikoumene
And another bad penny of verdigris
As worthy as any
I want you to meet me there
Now unto him that is able to do
Above what we ask and think
Pardon must not only be granted
It must also be accepted
But on another record
How great is our God in the music....

Seeing that he's got clean clothes
Pointing the finger at me
Standing in your dwellings
Coming through darling
I ramble as the word think means to imagine
And so you are
We don't ask for fear of being disappointed
I pray to be of good company
Where war comes about
Where desires are not met
I've got a home on high
You try for things you haven't asked for
O, so far away
All I ask is for well being today
God bless even my flaws and idiosyncrasies
In another time and place
Let the bible talk for itself
Amazing grace is still the beautiful mystery
Fear not....
Aroused Revisited

By this broken arrow
Six bells chime where my cat is purring
And we still are straying and erring
Over on the railroad and church tomorrow
Every scrapbook stuck with glue
For Ahaz the son of Jotham
Fear not whom cometh against you
It shall not stand
And your agreement with death is disannulled
O Emmanuel, God with us
On your high flying cloud
We don't ask because we underestimate God
Gandhi said if you think you can then you're right
If you do not believe it will not be established
Ahaz asked not, he missed out
First called Christians at Antioch
Today's my birthday
To raise him up and but arouse
A light shone in the prison
O, sweet thing
All I ask for is well being...
5-23-15
He forgives all your iniquities
He lives and heals all your diseases
In my stomach I've got the words
A promise to claim even above the name
So is the Word
O, stay in the game
No end to his forgiveness
Another lion to tame
Not a license to sin
But a chance to change
Leave behind all anger and resentment
This is no way to live
Forgive the crime
Cancel its penalty and pardon
Avocados in the refrigerator harden
I take them out till they get ripe
Good means better in all things the world has to offer
And not as flawless
Where the healing has begun
I see a mess, God sees a ministry
I see a problem, God sees possibilities
To make love underneath the stars
He crowns you with lovingkindness
And tender mercies

stirrers
Stirrers
5-23-15
Allowing my beard stubble to grow out for one day
Slept into nine thirty
I ought to
For it's supposed to be the Sabbath
seed for the bird of the air
In our visible spectrum
Of such a heaven we hope for
What God has cleansed you call not common
Matching up my domino
I play the game for noodles Raman
No reason to explode
Love believes the best
Charity hopes the best
Longsuffering will put one to the test
If you have ears to hear
Let the bond of this love have you to understand it
God bless all stirrers
They do their thing
For the sugar in your cup
Next set date
December twenty-first
Nothing happened.....
Nothing Happened
5-23-15
They rave on about Y2K and global warming
Today we got it made in the shade
And no such storming
Private, secret, deceitful, personal and confidential
May it be hidden
As I hope to go when I am bidden
We don't bear fruit, we bruise it
We learn of something new in hopes to use it
O, solidify and grow
In God whom redeems your life from going south
For the traits of a thankful heart
We don't bear fruit, we bruise it
Yesterday I was sidetracked
In a time where it's easy to confuse it
Seeking out Pastor Fidel
He said learn how to cultivate
The attitude of gratitude
It's not the man, it's the message....
Thankful Trait
5-23-15
O, maya, O madness
O, joy and all sadness
Bless the Lord, O my soul for gladness
Thankful is not obvious in ones countenance
In the dark end of a street
No such outlet
I scribble these lyrics with no guidance
And into this life we are born
Like an ox that treadeth out of the corn
Forget not all his benefits
O, bless the day when I said that my shirt was worn
For our lovers once again
Happy birthday me, myself and I
The trinity of this gratitude
I've got the full force gale
Learn how to cultivate this thankfulness
I scribble these lyrics in hopes to interpret them
On a later date
And I hope that today will be great
As one to develop my thankful trait...
I Can Always Return
5-23-15
No matter where I roam
I can always return to the Lord
Bless him, O my soul
And all that is within me
Forget not all his benefits
Who doth forgive all iniquities
Not a license to do wrong
But an opportunity to do good
For the troubadours I am happy today
And this is all that matters for poets like me
I rejoice in that they still take up the pen
Bless the Lord, O my soul
And may perfect love be the goal
I will live my life in Him
Whom redeems my life from desolation
With my pen I write my song
To grow and to solidify
It's the message not the messenger
Coffee is served in spite of my shaving incision
Be not oblivious of what you have
You woke up in a bed
You have your A.C.'s
You have a home and the sunshine today
Listening for that something special
You have your eclectic collection
I can always return to the Lord....
Anvil, No More
5-23-15
Two options
Lie back down and wait
Or remain upright and keep writing
Forget not all his benefits
Never mind that spinning wheel
We can always fix it
The battle is in the mind
Like preparation for going running, our stretches
For recitation to enunciate these sketches
David warms up in Psalm one hundred three
We need not lock anything up
When it all belongs to God
I got that shave anyway
Be not oblivious about what's on your plate
In the month of May
Dreaming of the city of Paris
For the battle is in the mind
A six inch battlefield
Don't need to carry the anvil of sin
Nor the awl of what is wrong
To whom much is given much is required
O, send men to Joppa
And call for Simon whose surname is Peter
All about a search in the journey
We don't need to carry this anvil...
