Linger
6-11-15
Change of plans
I go to the dentist and get two fillings
It's a miracle that I stood my ground
Have an awesome day
I'll see you around
Whitlling down to ten
Another means for tablet and pen
And these two cities
That lie underneath a sea of salt
And another governor to exalt
God hates sodomy but loves the Sodomites
Run but do not hasten
Flog but do not chasten
We are all prone to linger....
Trying to See
6-11-15
When we met them they bowed down
Not to forget them
But to cast at his feet our golden crown
I try hard to see
The sun is up
I set aside my cup
Only to fill it again
Upon my new arrival
All a matter of joy in this survival
Grabbing them, taking them in
Making them a feast
As the stagecoach turns around to turn east
You have brought the change to me
And it is not quite as strange to me
Ten minutes to spare
He lingered
O, help us run from what is O so wrong
God hates sodomy but loves the Sodomites
Don't get used to it
Become not commonplace
I try hard just to see...
Run, Lot, Run
6-11-15
adjusting my A.C.
It was too cold to know presence
Or to even be
And the meek shall inherit the earth
Lot tries to warn his family
For what it's all worth
A pastor is not to be a dictator
Ones only power is the power of influence
Hold the best so proudly high in hand
You have increased the nation
O, Lord you are glorified
In all prone to linger with flesh weak
Cannot put upon it a finger
But still I will seek
Run, Lot, run
With a righteous need to make haste
And be chastened..
Ensample
6-11-15
July nine
Seventy minute tooth session
No need for a sign
As notes fall gently like rain
An appointment divine
Let Jesus reign
An ensample to those whom go astray
Milking milch kine
In God I will find a way
Most don't make haste with commandments
Run, Lot, run
Back to the book to linger
To hesitate
Of our reluctance
Of our question to hey
To tear down, to fatigue, to exhaust
We'll never have our ducks in a row
Until Jesus comes back
Consider the new heaven and earth
O, run back to the Word
And find your strength....
Keep Moving
6-11-15
Remember Lot's wife
Turning back to become a pillar of salt
Remember your own life
Not about what you lack
Not as one to magnify or exalt
Made of them as ensamples
Our Sodom burned to ashes
O, how do we hasten
I'm not in a hurry
All I need to know is my name Jason
Best way to discipline oneself is to keep moving
Better off upright in much today I am proving
Keep pleading, lay hold onto obedience
O, keep on bleeding
According to its nourishing ingredients
Getting ones guts and fortitude
Still going nuts but not to intrude
For Sodom, the type and shadow of the world
I'm in the mood....

loaded
Loaded Again
6-11-15
Again I am loaded
No money spent on smoke
A billion dollars at stake
For my malice God's love will never fail
Love will see us through it
It grows on me like mildew
We have waited for him and he will save us
Toothpaste does not deter the taste of coffee
The way of the just is uprightness
I hope that I have turned you onto something
We shall live together with him
His answer to our plaint
Having my desire to become a saint
Life is good in that I'm loaded...
Fauteuil (Revisited)
6-11-15
The feet of the poor
And the steps of the needy
I want to smell it, yeah I want more
But it's no way to live to be but greedy
The surface of the covering cast over us
Another coffee spill on this page
In the shade of the dark and deep
And cold lakes in my fauteuil
My upholstered armchair
So comes the darkness and the frost
On October mornings
Where there is hope for my Faunus of nature and fertility
And no more of such futility
Half hour to spare for the Lord thy God
In a consuming fire
Jealous because he loves us....
Nature Verses Nurture
6-11-15
To Faunus the Roman god of nature and fertility
Not considered a deity
But just as an artist
And a teacher of nature verses nurture
Another sou jingles in my pocket
So I can buy another rocket
Knowing the moodies
A better name for my blue devils
Long is the road that takes you there
Just let it take its course
I turn on the air for my cat
Happy to see me when I get in
And I will not die in my sin
As our Lord God will wipe away the tears
Away from all faces....
Get Some Sun
6-11-15
My dead bodies shall rise
To retire early tonight would be wise
Two angels at Sodom
Come to our hero Lot
Bowing to them about all his troubles to forget
As men of Sodom compass his house
Where God is the groom and we are the spouse
God burns this city to the ground
For Hayward and Lodge
Another beautiful hodgepodge
God made me crazy
God made me single
God made me Jason
By no means lazy
On the corner of Whiteford and Mount Zion
I linger by the skill of the carpenter and mason
O, run, let run and go out to get some sun....
On Genesis 19:15
6-11-15
Arise take your wife and two daughters
No surprise in the better life
According to due slaughters
As one to partake of the beef
She said I was an advanced being
And that things would get better
Giving no place to the thief
He said it is what I'm doing now
And not about what is a done deal
First thought about Providence
Planning for tomorrow to gird up my loins
And dig in my heels
If you can cast a little light on someone
At the edge of time
All storms must dissipate
An urban renewal project but to burn it...

More Of The Sun
6-11-15
Do you want to see more of me
Do you want to find what it is to truly just be
Do you want emancipation and to be free
Come on thou poets and slaves
According to what another addict yet craves
Cigarettes are the hardest thing to give up on the planet
But there is always the new earth
One day I meet my Janet
Avid, enthusiastic, ardent and keen
The pumpkin seed man cries
O, what does it mean!
Avid and insatiable
I hear your tongue and I feel your eyes
Believe not today the devil's lies
There I said it
Keeping my eyes on the prize
Do you want to see more of me
Don't answer....
Voracious
6-11-15
Just be voracious yet craving
Consuming large quantities to quell the vice
Water was no merit in ones saving
If you don't believe you just get wet
Eager and avaricious
And my hand found as a nest
Today I go north
But first must travel west
Taking in the view
For my riches of beauty
Yet available as one to gather eggs
And contribute home fries
Giving strength to feeble legs
Believe not today the devil's lies
Where our seas are sharp and clear
Voracious
Exceedingly eager
And no more meager
Just be...
Not Guilty
6-11-15
Everlasting
The Rock of ages still praying and fasting
In the turning back of pages
Where the smokestack was leaning sideways
As ones open mouth
A deep wherein such a message we could not go
More deep the universe
Is loving enough for me tonight to sweetly sleep
Where the veil is torn asunder
There was none that moved the wing
There was nobody in the mood to sing
Another communion
It's a huddle up and a remembrance
Of what Jesus has already done
The blood says, "Not guilty"....
Cleansing Never Stops
6-11-15
A sacred, special and sobering time
We, the peculiar people well worth writing this rhyme
Cleanse to keep on cleansing
And it never stops
He never learned to swim
But he looks after his cash crops
Where death is on the rampage
To live is Christ and to die is gain
In no such thing as the eradication of the old nature
It's a huddle up of lust and its warfare
In the Spirit verses flesh
A time of self examination
A sacred, special and sobering time
Well worth writing this here rhyme....
Sous
6-11-15
Vertical and horizontal
Inward and outward, up and down
We must cast at his feet our golden crown
As a lotus eater the sun shines through
For our change in the washing machine
And the parking meter
Many seek to be touched by the shadow of Simon Peter
Described in the Odyssey
Who lived in a drugged indolent state
Devoted to pleasure and luxury
Sous in my right front pocket
I am rich in this blessing today
Even while poor in spirit
And I must die in this land
Take heed unto yourselves
Lest ye forget
A heat in the shadow of a cloud
Slow down, you're moving way too fast...

leviathan
Leviathan Revisited
2-15-15
He's the interrogator
I'm his alligator
To be a lover and no longer a hater
Under the tutelage today of the creator
The analyzer, the mental masturbator
I never understood such a council
So I was left to my own devices
As one to follow God according to the Word
Three seasons pass overhead
In a matter of five minutes
I wanted to take back all that I said out of turn
Being the Leviathan
I swim downstream
Where I only lived out half of my dream...
Ordering Up A Decaf
2-15-15
Throwing my amethysts to the hogs
Making my grocery lists and typing my blogs
In magnificent perception
Not flawless but as complete
I lit up a cigarette and only wanted two drags
It was too cold to stand out there
So I returned to my table and ordered up another mocha
I'm a backslider today but at least I'm here
In peace that casts out all throwing of carbuncles to the pigs
I spend my substance like it's nothing at all
But God is my Provider....
Blackberry
2-15-15
Ordering up a blackberry decaf
As one to never cry or even laugh
Halelujiah, I didn't see my better half
Don't want the attachment to drag me down
But I'm missing out
Flipping back to Isaiah
To find the words to write
By my river Euphrates
By the brook of Egypt so I dwell
Yet in doubt but at least I'm here
To read what it's all about
We will be gathered one by one
And as well vindicated
By God and his Son...
Callous Revisited
2-15-15
The fading flower is the head of the verdant valley
Developing a callous on my right middle finger
So I can but share what I had to say
On another extremely cold day
My only agenda is to pull through
For those that overcome with wine such as I
In my days of excess
Trampled underfoot
But I rock on and celebrate my wagon I ride
Almost noon
Halelijiah I made it
Safe and sound again
With my tablet and pen....
Refreshing
2-15-15
No place is clean
Do you know what I mean!
As I am AWOL today from the church scene
All tables are full of vomit
On a day when I was afraid of hues of green
I had also erred through wine out of the Way
But here I am again
Sober for almost five years
Praise God
Facing up to photographs of the family
I had no desire to be with in fading smiles
That's just the way I felt
As snow is soon to melt
No place is clean...
On Isaiah 28:16
2-15-15
Beginning again spiritual warfare
The devil is at it again with his lies
You will do just fine
Almost five years now without the wine
Plowing through the book of Isaiah
Finding words to write divine
Wherever believers will not act hastily
I fight it off and stay afloat
Putting my Aiwa to work
Seven more hours to bide
I've got nothing here to hide
O, why did I not see God
O, because it was overwhelming
But I still persist to seek him...
Plummet
2-15-15
By righteousness the plummet
I confront these past tense glad snapshots
Of those in my past
And outside the wind blows on
And I hope that the power on will last
When will he make to understand the message
He whom is willing the hear and see
I have over the years obtained much
For the whole symptom of family maintenance
Knocks on someone's door
But it doesn't have anything to do with me
Give ear and hear his voice
God is in control...

high of thirty
High Of Thirty
2-6-15
Nothing can pluck me out of God's hand
Even if I fall apart today
To hide my Egyptian killed in the desert sand
I am what I am
In that I do my part
Up since four thirty
I get a little bit dirty
Only getting up to thirty degrees
According to the weather chart
But who is worthy to prognosticate
This is what I do by the day's first light
In which there is nothing to hate
Nothing will pluck me out of his hand today...
In The Bush
2-6-15
Leprous like snow
Anemic
I've got nowhere I need go
I take up my pen like it were a rod
And God is love is all that I need to know
I have this here desire to do signs and wonders
O, ask for something impossible
Think outside the box
And enjoy this morning your strong Joe
In Jesus name I can do this
In that I still have room to grow
I was once slow of speech
But now am bold
O, who made man's mouth
Yes, it never gets old...
I Dream Anew
2-6-15
Starting out the day with Classic Yes
As so my office and my love seat is a beautiful mess
Please let me go to sacrifice and to bless
Three day's journey into the wilderness
Satan gets mad when I am glad
And I see to it that I smile
When love comes to you
And life is not so bad
On the eve of deliverance
I take my rest and dream anew....
My Valentine's Hope
2-6-15
Spring will strike again
Like a rattlesnake against the lamb
Of this long cold winter
I am what I am today by his grace
And She leaps up again sometime soon
Looking at me as if I were a madman
Dream on poets and be slaves to charity
Many will believe because of these words in all verity
Bound for my forgiver
Like a hound to swim in the river
The sun is finally up
And I am on my way to here and Now....
Abate
2-6-15
Today's going to be another prolific one
Yeah, it already has
By my morning glory
There is a shift in conversation
Defines as lifestyle
Where battleships confide
In those that take up the pen
That's just where you are
And I'm at it again
Come the chime of eight
Sunshine is as nothing to hate
To bow ones head and worship
It's only crazy when we misunderstand it
Where coastal winds are yet to abate....

full
I'm Full
2-15-15
Children gather
Some more, some less
Praises get spent
This much we confess
My musical pursuits are endless
And my life is a mess
Everything in its right place
In so much he doth but bless
The weight of the world was on me
As my advocate says no stress
An homer for each individual
According to ones need
Nothing more, nothing less
And when the sun goes down
I am full...
On Exodus 16:12 (look this up)
2-15-15
Voice in my head says I have proved myself worthy
Playing my seventy-four archive
Sounding much like Sabbath
Three players make a whole lot of music
I live for today and soon incorporate my ipod
To play the rest of my Beck selections
Something to look back upon
Lean to with open arms and not with a clenched fist
Skim the chapter and still get the gist
O, if we had only died in Egypt
It is human nature to make our grievances
He has heard our complaints
In that much is freely given...
Never Mind Me
2-15-15
This particular selection entitles Sea Changes
Reminds me of restless meditations of my asphyxiation
Something I had to leave behind me
No more cinders from the sky
O, never mind me
Come the significance of Israel
And the Sabbath invested
Today I will find it in the field
If this is all that I am so be it
Like white coriander seed
According to each individual and his need
It's a good combination for music lovers
Come a chapped upper lip that doth bleed
At least this much I can get off my chest....
Go With Me
2-15-15
O, someone send me a real dream
Of putting my talent to use
An homer is one tenth of an ephah
According to the measure of God's good pleasure
And knowledge as treasure
I can forgive myself because Jesus already did
O, what has become of the soul cowboy
Roving up and down the promenade
In quest for drafts
Bearing with sub zero wind chills
But thankful for this shelter
God won't you go with me tomorrow...
Tool Revisited
2-15-15
He's the critic to confront
A newly discovered tool
Pulling off the new coffee stunt
Call me up because with me it's cool
A base hit with a bunt
Everyone doth play the fool
I never wear gloves
Because they get in the way of my cigarette
Confronting wintertime photographs
Of a snow fight with my family
Wanting me to be alright
Asking the server, "have you ever made a chamomile latte
It was a good idea to try such at home
I lost myself on the way to awareness
And now here I am...

2-15-15
This particular selection entitles Sea Changes
Reminds me of restless meditations of my asphyxiation
Something I had to leave behind me
No more cinders from the sky
O, never mind me
Come the significance of Israel
And the Sabbath invested
Today I will find it in the field
If this is all that I am so be it
Like white coriander seed
According to each individual and his need
It's a good combination for music lovers
Come a chapped upper lip that doth bleed
At least this much I can get off my chest....
Go With Me
2-15-15
O, someone send me a real dream
Of putting my talent to use
An homer is one tenth of an ephah
According to the measure of God's good pleasure
And knowledge as treasure
I can forgive myself because Jesus already did
O, what has become of the soul cowboy
Roving up and down the promenade
In quest for drafts
Bearing with sub zero wind chills
But thankful for this shelter
God won't you go with me tomorrow...
Tool Revisited
2-15-15
He's the critic to confront
A newly discovered tool
Pulling off the new coffee stunt
Call me up because with me it's cool
A base hit with a bunt
Everyone doth play the fool
I never wear gloves
Because they get in the way of my cigarette
Confronting wintertime photographs
Of a snow fight with my family
Wanting me to be alright
Asking the server, "have you ever made a chamomile latte
It was a good idea to try such at home
I lost myself on the way to awareness
And now here I am...
early
Early
2-15-15
Still insanely early
I am given people to believe in
In such photographs of beautiful minds
I have not partiality upon the feeble and strong
I ought to accept my predicament
And know that it is but temporal
I'm back on Tuesday to face the music
One day at a time
Sorrow takes its hold of the inhabitants of Philistia
But joy is soon to follow
I am glad that the night is far spent....
Take No Thought
2-15-15
Educated rather than mundane
So are our difficult times
That come with the territory of knowing Jesus
Marah and bitter are these waters
O, what shall we drink
Take no thought in that God is the Provider
Guiding them in his strength that is ours as well
Currently praying for the pastor as he speaks
I am AWOL from the assembly
Greet Miriam by the way
And she shall serve you well
Take no thought...
It Feels Good Going Down
2-15-15
It feels good going down
Now that I have earned my voice and my crown
Not by my own efforts
But by what Jesus has already done
And I give him thanks today
For the light of another sun
The chiefs of Edom will be dismayed
It feels good going down
I'm a junkie for all that is ground
The Lord shall reign forever and ever
So goes the Song of the Redeemed
Taking up in her hand the timbrel
Come redemption, this experience
God satisfies hunger and thirst
And provides rest
It feels good going down....
To Elim
2-15-15
Coming to Elim and twelve wells of water
Serving our son and daughter
To keep them safe in the slaughter
And seventy palm trees
And all today that the bible scholar clearly sees
Manna is provided and we get down on our knees
Soon we are no longer satisfied or content
Halfway through the month and my money is already spent
As one to grieve in the wilderness
O, to where will I yet be sent
Yet to win my first soul
For which it was meant....
Lyyar
2-15-15
In the month of Ziv it gets warm
Hunkering down again to weather the thunderstorm
It looks like the winds have subsided
In the month of Lyyar
I get on with my chair
To read my bible and smoke
A good combination
Manna is gathered
In the most desolate of places
Behold I will rain bread from heaven
And coriander seeds
Behold God will meet all of our needs
And the leaves soon grow in green
We have so much more to live for....
