Senses Exercised
5-23-17
Senses exercised to discern
That we learn in our left turn
Every time I hear a sad song
Back in love again
And out to greet the new day
For the love of knowledge
A step in the right direction
Where the news sounds strange
As if to rearrange
She's more than just a part of me
Clad in courage for our first principles
For the soul and such a resurrection
Try not to think too far ahead of yourself
For rods of green poplar and her spire
Rooflike arrayed for the bride
But not too soon
Senses exercised.....
Abraham Endured
5-23-17
Gabriel fast asleep and faith indolent
Jacob took rods of green poplar
In the upper part of the steeple
Where it is impossible for God to lie
As to bring to mind my own Waterloo
Obtaining the promise soon in luck
Spirelike, cut the end of your rope
And surrender to obtain the promise
All for sweet madness
I pray to my God for another good one
She is fast asleep
Somewhere not far from here
It is impossible for God to lie
By which Abraham endured.....
