gospel

lost these in last night's power surge. So I will type them here again. the power turned back on seconds after I was in acceptance to what was and it all worked out. commanded to come out of my comfort zone and work on this post.....

On Matthew 14:24
9-28-13

Walking on water
By the fourth watch
In dreams of falling off the wagon
By way of Coke and scotch
On my Springsteen Sabbath of sorts
By which the poet of the day yet exhorts
With thirteen pages already written
Come the hour of ten
Walking on water
By which they would not believe
Save in seeing such a sight
Subtle in the eyes of he whom still seeks....

Gospel Of Me
9-28-13

According to the gospel of my middle name
I hold the pen of such ringmasters
With a want to yet tame
Drunk on my sobriety
Being not on the top of my game
According to the notes to which I refer
Going back to those memories
Of her drawing nigh with my mouth
Hoping to bring my heart closer to this available light
According to the gospel of my middle name
To make my way straight through the day into the night....

Leaven
9-28-13

Savoring inhalations
As if they were my first and last
Playing Springsteen archives
To confront the shadows of my past
Departing into my Magdala and her coasts
Humbling myself in the matter
By which the bible scholar yet boasts
Holding my breath for the count of five
To serve as the reason
Why I am glad to be alive
Yet to beware of the leaven
Yet to rise in ovens of constant change
Loathed by those whom yet take comfort
In what is more of the same....

On Matthew 16:11, 12
9-28-13

Not of bread but of doctrine
Not just in my head
Such teachings are as they are
To which I have been led
Looking upon what Jesus has been through
When he bled
To help one carry on
And make the scene
In just being here and now
Where the dogs eat the fragments
That fall from the table
According to what he whom attends doth vow
Not of bread but of doctrine
To beware of the leaven
Rising in the dough of delight...

Opportunity
9-28-13
@ 11:11 AM
* make a wish...

Coming to appreciate the who I am
And the what I've got
To savor that which is
According to that which is not
No more lukewarm to be as cold and hot
To know that my label is not my identity
But an opportunity to yet overcome
Playing Springsteen archives
To zero in on the beat of the drum
Passing the day in just this
Bathed and clean and far from filthy still
And numb...

On Matthew 21:22
9-28-13
* look this up for yourself

All things you ask in prayer, believing
You shall receive
Where I am yet to rejoice
In things of which I grieve
To celebrate even the melancholy
Getting back in there
Where Coca Cola serves as my Molly
She was the inspiration of trying times
Of scoring my cup of joe
With my dollars and dimes
Costing one ten for my twenty ouncer
In dreams of when I would return...

Solid Poetry Day
9-28-13
* I had another Springsteen session on 9-6-14....

Many are called and few are chosen
Melting my icicles
That yesterday were once and twice frozen
Getting back in there
With my nostalgia and authenticity
Passing the day with a minimal amount of electricity
After a solid day of tasting hip hop shakes
Returning to my roots
Of all of the music that it makes
Chugging back my Coca Cola
Making this track in three more takes
Where my practice makes perfect
Like spiritual earthquakes....

Great Commandment
9-28-13

Using my distress
To love God with all of my mind
Where the stars shine in the night
As planets are aligned
Wherein by night seasons
My teeth so I yet grind
Observing the great commandment
To love God with all of my soul
Where eating a good breakfast
Will serve as my dream and goal
Remembering last night's dreams
Of going fishing in dark waters
In another plentiful deep and dark hole...

portion

Double Portion
7-22-14

Our Hannah so is gracious
In skies vast and specious
To begin my sixteenth book
In style as one to walk another extra mile
It was easier to say hello
Than to deny this fresh and new file
As year by year
She will go up
By the pouring of yet another cup
Hannah is gracious
Having no children
She was yet to conceive
Where everything is desirable
To they whom but believe
I request an ecstatic experience here
But am quite content with well being
Given a double portion
In all that I am seeing...

Double Portion (Part 2)
7-22-14

To Hannah so was given a double portion
Although the Lord hath closed her womb
I am instructed to claim these verses as my own
And told to be as one to cast not the first stone
O, look upon this affliction
And remember me and tell me
That I'm not all alone
By the plying of my song of lights
And thunder riffs
And bars of melody cacophonous
Will be today my plunder
O, why do you weep and do not eat
And why is your heart grieved
And why are we to this day deceived
Taken to a place where everyone knows you name
To Hannah is given a double portion
As such is a game....

Double Portion (Part 3)
7-22-14

If I had a need to leave
All I have ever written behind me
O, be one to receive me
And not to mind me
On the edge of a new fountain
O, give your maid servant a male child
O, would you like to live forever
Family and friends together
All that is written upon these pages
Is recorded in heaven
Even in memories of video games
At seven-eleven
O, she is yet provoked
By another cigarette smoked
She is given a double portion
Where no razor would come upon his head
According to such a vow yet evoked
Am I not better than ten sons
O, tell me and lie not
For here I am...

..."Put Your Wine Away From You"...
7-22-14

I start a new day
But not alone so far
No calls on the landline old cheap telephone
As monogamy is organized
By God for the highest happiness
As to what is right here
I am prone to forbid not polygamy
As well to be carved in stone
I know the sun will shine again
To melt our pistachio ice cream cone
There is life even after a broken heart
For there is none besides you
O, thou art
Because I rejoice in your salvation
That as well is as mine
She is in bitterness in soul
And drinks no longer of this sweet wine...

Hanna's Vow
7-22-14

I don't care if you don't like the way I look
As so I love what I see in the looking glass
Today in the book
Seeing all that is me gaze back upon me
In all that it took
O, my horn is exalted
O, my heart rejoices
In every cranny and nook
May the steam sink deeply down
In such by the baiting of another steel hook
Choosing five smooth stones
For my sling straight from the brook
And then I rose early in the morning
To but worship
To return to our house at Ramah
To greet my brothers
Where Hannah yet conceives
And God doth remember her in this...

The Poetry Of An Author Unknown
7-22-14

bushwhack

Bushwhack
12-28-08

Guerrilla warfare
Is another key to understanding
Times will get tough
Situations will become demanding
Guard your front door
While you take a stroll on easy street
Every man marooned seeks something to eat
We must hunt so that we will live
If we claim to love
We must just as well give
I seek a way out of my rut of rhythm and rhyme
Alliterations no longer suffice
Yet I end up taking the same road in my time
Sold down the river
As an alternative to paying the price
I bushwhack my way through the thicket
Boldness is my pass
And zeal is the ticket
Take up your machete and walk...

I Offer Ten And Ten
12-28-08

God barks my fig tree
To make it clean bare
To cast it away
So that branches are made white
Things are a whole lot more real
When you really care
Yet intentions without actions won't set it right
I still quote the Scriptures
To work it into my own rhyme
I cast in the offering plate ten dollars and a dime
Not to boast, not to brag
Not to with insolence post my banner or my flag
Macadamia nuts, my latest addiction
Makes me itch and scratch
Like a fact expressed by fiction
Salt is good until it loses its savor...

Make A List
12-28-08

Misplaced my Strong's concordance
It is to be put to use, Lord willing
In the years to come
Soon time to learn Hebrew and Greek
It seems that knowledge has its way to make one numb
Desensitized by explicit exposure
Blocked by another cul-de-sec
And its inevitable enclosure
I can't quite believe what I wrote
Some two weeks ago
Time to plan the work and work the plan
As I let Jesus know
Make a list
Cross out obstacles
Of your work as you go
White and dry
O, how high we fly
In dreams our brothers learn how to levitate
Just as well
Stung by a bee
As in human nature
Our welt is yet to swell....

Two Loads
12-28-08

Lament like a virgin
Girded with sackcloth
For the husband of your youth
Babe, you must needs take the hard road
To find your way to the truth
Offerings are cut off from your house
God is the groom
And we will serve as the spouse
There will come adultery in taking other roads
It will cost us six bucks
To wash and dry two laundry loads
Sin leaves a stain
And no detergent gets it out
We all have our will to try to get clean
To transcend unbelief and doubt
Time to call my aunt and uncle
To claim my stones of emerald and carbuncle....

Honor
12-28-08

Honor your father and mother
Honor you grandpa and your uncle and you aunt
Seek out not only self
Yet as well the other
Love yourself and your scope will be yet scant
Exclude no one on your heart
May intercession and love for others be your art
Don't let our differences get in the way
See the black and white
And swirls of color
And not just shades of gray
Compare your truth with your opinion
Cater to your follower
Yeah, feed your minion
In the valley I walk
Need knowledge to back up my talk
Say what you mean
Mean what you say...

Life Is More Than What You See
12-28-08

Rejoice in every sip and every sup
Revel in every flagon
In every cup
Pour the glass until it should be filled
As by God's grace
By pouncing felines
The glass on the table is not spilled
Cats, my perfect companions
And ministering spirits
They are the gift of God to me
Touch and kiss all you can
Life is more than what you see
I've seen my share of repetition
But so what
As I partake in morsels sweet and spicy
And the filbert nut
To make it mean something to me
As I will be reminded
That life is more than what you see...

Tasting Transition
12-28-08

We wonder
Shall iron break the northern iron and steel
We question
Will love depend upon the way we feel
The answer is no
Dialup internet is too slow
By patience we are yet to grow
May us purchase the ticket
To go out to see the show
Tasting transition
From the white to the red
Eat a cracker in between
As we pray for our daily bread
Life is a journey
There is no set destination
In life we carry out our mission
Making use in our lives of all creation
Mixed nuts
Cigarette butts
We bleed from deep lacerations and cuts
We want to change our ways
To break out of molds and ruts
Always time to change the road we're on.....

about prayer

More About Prayer
12-28-08

Prayer consists of confession
Thanksgiving, supplication, intercession and request
May us stick to our guns
Like they did in the movies in the wild west
Chicken scratch
Wrestling match
Deep sea fishing
We reel in with our struggle
To make our five o clock somewhere
Fresh catch
Prayer requires perseverance
Discipline, commitment and backbone
We draw the line in the sand
Daring our brother to cast the first stone
Carelessly rhymes are to be written
A bachelor is happy when he adopts a kitten
Time on his hands
By idleness he is smitten
By an infected mosquito he is bitten
The itch oddly feels quite pleasant.....

Smell Before The Taste
12-28-08

Pray for Ephesus and Thessonolica
Read again the books of Malachi and Micha
Yet it turns out that in this
A man puts the emphasis upon himself
As idols are made of the books upon his shelf
We lose sight of what really matters
Our family and our fellowship
Far beyond trying to appear fashionable
Or even hip
In the glass we smell it
Before we take our next sip
Joining loved ones to another mission and day trip
Pray for Galatia, Samaria and Judah
Stick with Jesus
Yet still you make friends with the Buddha
Love all people
And you will make your quota...

Bad Ingredients
12-28-08

Feasts have their ways to bring one fear
Concerning matters of sodium, fat and cholesterol
Always a repercussion to truth we hear
May us read Hemmingway
As we build up tolerance to alcohol
Esteem others before your own reflection
Sermon on the radio makes you lose your erection
God has given us a way to escape
As truth might serve as molestation and rape
Don't want to violate those whom do not yet know
Yet I need to take my chances
In order to flourish and grow
Truth can be like violation and harassment
Yet I am willing to take this chance....

357 To Go
12-28-08

Three hundred fifty-seven poems yet to write
My God is Jesus
Even if my idol might be the season of night
Collective consciousness
People I still remember
Whom I failed to leave behind
Can't kiss you goodbye my brother
For you are a part of my mind
All I think I need I already possess
There is nothing more I need try to find
Preacher says that rock and roll is spiritual pollution
Yet, for every cucumber
For every onion
For every pickle there is a solution
I top my salad with cottage cheese and beats
I thank the Lord for all mesquite smoked dried meats
Taste, my friend and you shall live...

Seventeen Tickets To The Show
12-28-08

May us live up to the dainties of the dessert
May us walk through the wilderness of sweets
May us thirst for the waters of the sea
May us reserve seats in the audience seventeen seats
Angels and spirits are welcome and entitled
Horses by bits are restrained and bridled
Don't need to crack the whip to make them run
They will race yet at their own consent
I burn the midnight oil till the rising of the sun
I've lived the last eleven years like a king on subsidized rent
The poor will reign
The needy will know gain
The humble will see love
As well as those inept and insane
The first will be last
Forsake not the past
For it is your treasure....

Synthetic Is Authentic
12-28-08

Synthetic imitation Elvis covers
Serve their purpose and plan
Remakes so serve as our new lovers
To be open minded is part of being a man
I don't fret of exhausting my supply
I step out of my comfort zone
Knowing that the time will fly
But why do I go on wishing it all away
When I know that experience provides me words to write
And more things to say
Celebrities will one day be reduced to peasants
As the poor will one day eat the flesh of grouses and pheasants
The first will be last
Forsake not your past
For it is your treasure....

The Pen, The Plaything
12-28-08

God will judge the remnant
The remainder and the residue
As all that is torn down
Will leave an important clue
Stuck in a dark corner
Of a hundred shades of green and blue
We need the light to perceive the color
And to grasp things that are spiritual and true
One glass remains in a bottle of wine dry
Rhyming is like masturbation
As we know not the how or the why
If you want to stay healthy
Take this advice
Go on another journey
And venture out to claim another vice
Carry the weight of the world
On your stronger back
Knowing you already possess
Things you only think to lack....

Stage Is Set
12-28-08

Les Miserable
And Beauty and the Beast
We return to the theatre for a literary feast
The magic of the stage
Is like the turning of the page
The lamb lies down with the lion
Blessings are applied on Mount Zion
Intoxicated with the escape
I get naked and refuse to draw the drape
I salute with reverence
The fermentation of the grape
Practicing my enunciation on tape
Kid wrecks his skateboard
His mother coddles his scrape
Need to be ready for the day that we die
Some speak of forever
We wonder is this, too a lie
All we can do is hope....

double decker

*** going back to times of inebriety and excess....

Double Decker
3-22-10

Had myself a double deal
Seems it doesn't matter how I feel
When it is said that love is an action word
But I've got a long way to go in this
Something is always out of place
But it all works out in God's good grace
Just unloaded another truck
I ought to say a lot more than what the fuck
Don't want anyone to see me like this
But I know that God does
See you later aunt and uncle and cuz....

He Quoth "I Kind Of Like It Dark"
3-22-10

When everyone is easy on you
You're only hard on yourself
And vice versa and vice versa
I'm still here
There is a reason
All I know is fear
Another opportunity for a cheer
Need to set my mind free
And cut the rhyme
Like carrots and cucumbers
Need to stumble back into the Old Testament
To read again the book of Numbers
For if I were the D.J.
I would surely crash the party
Praying that I will be able
To break out of this rut of rhyme
And simply be me
Who ever that is
For if I had a photograph
I could look back on this and laugh....

Caution, Open Slowly
3-22-10

Needed to put a caution sign upon my freezer door
Because I had enough TV dinners to feed a whore
I like to say that I don't care that we're at war
Extermination, genocide
Evolution or creation
Fight or flight
Mercy or suicide
God will back me up
When I come within kicking distance of hell's gate
So maybe they'll call the department of health
To ask to share the wealth
I wore my watch for two years
My wrist stinks
It's a free for all
Wall to wall
If I clear my mind
My ass I ride upon still thinks....

Cutting It Loose
3-22-10

I was shaking like a leaf
Yet now I can write without my pen slipping
Most of what we hold fast to
Gets robbed by the thief
And from the grapes of God's wrath I'll be sipping
It's a good sign when you're not afraid to use words like these
When prayer is not for only they down on their knees
I've got so much left to do with my life
So let us start by taking a dump
To know there is hope even for the sour puss and the grump
I hope that words like wine get better
So I carve the words "Jesus saves"
With a rock upon the tree stump
It's insane with the hops
The grapes, wheat, barley and grain...

Strut And Dig
3-22-10

No one is expendable
No one is a misfit in Jesus
No one is without help
No one is hopeless in God
I've been a Peter of denial
And a doubting Thomas
I've been as Daniel in my den
Where the lions' mouths were closed
One day a fox
One day a sheep
Another day a pig
One street I strut
And elsewhere in personal commentaries I dig
Sometimes I take up a shovel
And sometimes a spade
But mainly I am a box cutter
When I take up my blade
Praise you, thank you
Thank you, praise you
I owe it all to you
That I made it back in one piece....

how are ya'

"How Do You Do?"
3-24-14

By the killing of Stephen
The church begins to grow
But it doesn't make it right
According to all that we can come to know
Where we ought to talk about what is coming next
As we quote today the Scriptures
Given to comprehend the text
This will be as our free gift
When in the book of Acts
It seemed to be the worst time to be a Christian
Where many were martyred for this cause
Where we ought not talk about what used to be

Nature

By Nature
3-24-14

Pessimistic by nature
Optimistic by faith supernatural
It is the only way we can please him today
O, I wish them well today
As so like animals
Fear is our most natural way to live by
To yet trust in oneself
Putting on another pot of cowboy coffee
Dedicated to the T.S. Elliot of my psyche
Defined as my dear soul
Where happiness depends upon the happening
And joy comes from the Lord
On this sunshiny day
Wherein I take up the sword
Where the kingdom of God
Is at hand in you....

Champion
3-24-14

In the valley of Elah
We still fight
Because we are the real deal
And we have every right to
That I plow through the book of First Samuel
Straight into the night
As David left his supplies
In the hand of our keeper
Greeting his brother all along the way
Fearing not to meet the reaper
In the valley of Elah we still dwell
We fight our Philistines
Drawing water from a peaceful well
Yet to meet the poetic champion
That would become my good friend
Given hopes today
That we will be together in the end....

Pas Dammim
3-24-14

Right here and now
We can have his power
As life is but a vapor
Of withering blades of our grass
And our fading flower
As my still small voice whispers
I hope you'll understand
And so today this I will do
If the good Lord wills
By the sunshine the poet savors
And the time he kills
O, what have I done
Now O, is there not a cause
For these coffee spills
According to our Pas Dammim
Yeah, look it up and you will see the light
And realize that it's not by our own might
But by his grace
Like light by which to write....

On First Samuel 17:32
3-24-14

O, let no man's heart fail
O, look to the ant
And to the snail
He's slow on his way
But at least he's moving in the right direction
According to our ephah of dried grain
So we are given our former and latter rain
To appease these distances
Of pleasure and pain
As signs to tell the poet
That he's still alive
O, let no man's heart fail
For your servant will go and fight
As such a giant defies the people of God today
Serving as something that but proves me
In this terrible and wonderful wilderness
In which I stand...

Beard
3-24-14

Catching the lamb by its beard
To but spare him in my reality
Immaterial , odd, strange and weird
As your servant kills both the lion and the bear
Where I am no longer as one afraid to care
Go and the Lord will be with you
So is said in sarcasm and unbelief
As so he was
And he did prevail
By the love and might
Of a God that will not fail
Choosing five smooth stones
From the brook of affliction
As do I when I'm up against this addiction
Being one today to quote the Scriptures
Catching the lamb by its beard....

No Sword In Hid Hand
3-24-14

God does not save by sword or spear
By one's faith taken up
In relinquishing today all unbelief and fear
As even you will know
That there is a God in heaven
So be of good cheer
By our Eglon and Ashdod
We have new hopes
That there is a God
Yeah, a God that makes known
Dark mysteries
Serving as these secrets of truth
To take up today my rod
O, I see here before me
For the battle is the Lord's
By the first slung stones
Of one, two and three
By our Gibea and our Nob
We go about our travels
To yet sojourn in the land of promise
Over a feast of steak
And corn on the cobb....

Within And Without
3-24-14

Sometimes the earth looks much like the kingdom
Through eyes that rove
Where we trust in only ourselves
By such a fear
We can choose our faith instead
In being given our daily bread
With beautiful music in one's head
For which our Savior bled
Sometimes the world might resemble his throne
In that we need not fight our giants all alone
Where the peace of God transcends all understanding
According to my other translation
Discerned by a mind willing to reach out
Praying, O, help my unbelief
And heal my doubt
Sometimes that which lies within
Will be likened to all that remains without....

It's All You

It's All Me
3-24-14

Our Saul sets up a memorial for himself
Just what the devil wants us to regard our own reflections
With high esteem
Where I recall in clarity
Last night's math class dream
Going down to Gilgal
To bask in my forever flowing warm stream
O, what is the meaning of the bleating of these sheep
O, what does it mean
Yet to be as one to be quiet
Being as one to have not need to make the scene
O, why did you swoop down upon the spoil
But to be one to receive it
By the gospel today
That is my only agenda....

Grope
3-24-14

The God of patience and consolation
Doth grant you to be likeminded
To read the same book
Here yet bound where we can be as brothers
Even if we're not twins
Regarding where we stumble
Upon our own besetting sins
Where these things written aforetime
Are here but for our learning
That through the patience and the comfort of the Scriptures
We might have hope
By the still and small voice that whispers
Do what is in your hand
Here and now to cope
For Christ pleased not himself
To be made High Priest
As still in the darkness
I feel my way and grope...

Well Studied
3-24-14

O, pardon today my God
Where I go wrong
And be thou with my pen
So I can write this new song
For I will not return with you
Unless you repent and quit ye like men
And be strong
These words have pricked me to the heart
Rejected from the beginning and left out
To hide between my walls
And to study my doubt
O, pardon today where I fall short
O, justify my wickedness
So that these small words will yet exhort
Where Samuel mourns for Saul
Regretting that he made him king
According to this history
Well studied by he with pen in hand
O, Lord have mercy....

Fertile
3-24-14

Still possessive about my cat
Walking all over my place of study
Treating her like the queen
Named the grace of God
Of a Christ still bloody
Moving onto chapter sixteen
According to Jesse
Defined as the gift
Being as his lineage
Upon river banks fertile and muddy
As Samuel is sent again to Bethlehem
With a complexion wholesome and ruddy
Knowing not where to go from here
Where there is no middle ground
Where we live in faith or in fear
As the sword made many women childless and barren
In the womb of which we now speak
O, how long will I mourn
In the humbling of myself yet meek....

Beloved
3-24-14

Fill your horn with oil
And go and anoint this tabernacle
And know it is you, my friend
For weal or for woe
Inviting our Jesse to the sacrifice
Where on so much go the show
Yeah, I love you all
Even if I could not be there to see it
O, do you come peaceably
By the coldness of my right big toe
Basking in my morning smoke and Joe
According to the man after God's own heart
Yet to be the next king
In making a fresh new start
Fill your horn with oil
And go there tomorrow
Looking not on one's physical stature
But on the heart...

Beloved (Part 2)
3-24-14

The youngest of sons keep the sheep
Being as the chosen
In matters dark and deep
As by faith I take the first steps
In another nimble and graceful leap
O, send and bring him hither
As a soul doth both flourish and yet wither
Whose skill is upon the harp
To make music
In the ears of they whom are pleased by it
Whose valor is in combat
For the cause of what is right
Plowing my way through First Samuel
Straight into the night....

Exploit
3-24-14

The Lord does not see as man sees
Looking upon the heart
And not the physical stature
Like another beautiful mind
That this poet frees
As he is ruddy, good looking and bright eyed
According to the fact
That today again I lied
Arise now and anoint him
For which the priest hath cried
As Samuel doth rise up
To go to Ramah
Where I prefer my mushrooms fried
To yet perform my great exploit
Returning to my Bethlehem
To yet come and see
As the Lord does not see
As man sees...

Harp
3-24-14

O, command your servants
To bring a man who is skillful
In playing the harp
Being as one to yet flounder and carp
To discuss the matters of music
Of which many have their opinion
Whether such is secular or sacred
O, whose to say
Of such a matter
Of the inclined ear
To be one to live by the faith
That doth dissolve all fear
By which Saul sends his messengers
In that I make my way through one more year
And just as well two, three and four
O, send me to your son
Whom is keeping the sheep
As on all sides
We are given rest from war...

Sochoh
3-24-14

I have been guilty of kicking myself in the teeth
According to our heaven above
And our earth beneath
Plowing into chapter seventeen
Where our giant Goliath sets the stage
Of the trial at hand
Where the Holy Spirit gives me the gift
To hear it and understand
By which the Philistines gather
Where we look upon what we would rather
Drawing up our battle array
So that the pen today might show me the way
Standing on the mountain
With a valley between us
Just to tell my brother
That I'm doing okay
He said it was a slippery slope
But I don't see the snow on the ground today....

Nicotine Goliath
3-24-14

Standing at nine feet six
So is my giant I fail to face
Wherein I get my fix
Fitted with his bronze helmet
Knowing today many new tricks
Where the staff of his spear
Is like a weaver's beam
As I come to my recollection
Of last night's dream
Of being nothing but a fisherman
Casting in his line upon a stony stream
Drenching my pack of smokes
In my shirt pocket
As our Goliath is defined as our exile
And we take up such an illustration
As if it were going out of style
Taking our ten loaves up upon our hill
Hoping that there is a higher purpose in this
And praying that these words will do God's will....

Head Cheese
3-24-14

Go and run to your brothers at their camp
Sitting out at the picnic table
Where my vesture grows moist and damp
Still writing my rhymes
According to their mass production
Given the comfort of this intermission
And its sweeter introduction
Yet to carry these ten cheeses
To the captain of their thousand
O, is that a parable
Or a very subtle joke
But a picture by the blowing of heavenly smoke
O, I love you Lord today
And I seek you early
Yet to see how my brothers fare
Being as one not afraid to care...
