Taking Up Bunyan Again
8-29-17
Taking up Bunyan again
Just scratching the surface
Across that river of death into my celestial city
The transition is the hardest part and he's got to come through
As to be the land where we come to understand
Such a book's cover says much
In the pilgrim's progress
For mistrust in the elements
Clad in breastplate and ephod and broidered coat
Driving onward through the danger
Walk with me stranger
Not solely due of his naivete
God knows I like that song
In the beauty of friendship...
Stick Around
8-29-17
Now is the time to stick around
To smell the sights and see the sound
Solely due to often real charm
Doing no man no harm with cunning word she wears for me
Our broidered coat and a root beer float
Just let it rain on me for girdle and sash
And two onyx stones
O, sweet twenty-nine
Spanning the centuries
Sometimes she says things I don't want to hear
And the streets of the city are barred
Seemingly the print too fine to read from a distance
Through the eyes of kinfolk
On the heels of her embrace
Stick around!
Two On Each Stone (Call Me Names)
8-29-17
As these doors have been closed
Never mind the when
Alice Cooper studio album
For I've heard enough in just what it is
As God hath wrought towards me
I am a man of many questions
Names of the children
Two on each stone of six
As true love prevails
And God's love never fails
By our quaternion
What a show! Here we go!
As to speak unto the wise-hearted
And no one can ring me out here
Best appreciated
We've got you covered
Filled with the Spirit of wisdom
Loving our associates
As the night draws near....
