Wilshire

Sidewalk Splendor (At Wilshire)
8-15-18

Prayers serve as memory of the God we learn of
As we suffer for Him today where lightning pushes the edges
Of the thunderstorm upon ones two-aisle strip of prime California real estate
By our dazzling light of sidewalk splendor and my price for more
Of Dame Belle and much to buy and sell
Since your scruples outrageously decadent
In Barney season and his sandals and no such traffic tie up today
Unless I bring it upon myself
At home something smells fishy
All for God's Grace
Pun intended....

Bernardino Revisited
8-15-18

Waving my arms for the caving in of charms
In tan safari suits of sentiment and contemptuous responses
Where spirit voices ruling the night in the rasping of katydids
By the way of ones Seville driver on his way to somewhere
Face in a slow-burn to cammonflauge all we are
Wary of lifting a hand to adjust the formula tucked in my collar
If you need anything just holler
In our valley of Bernardino
Good Lord, September is almost here
To the right Van Cleef and apples just to mention them
Just looking for some middle ground....

On Isaiah 29:11
8-15-18

Opening and inviting
Overcoming an obstacle
I go home and unpack and begin again
Again in my own terminal transfer in Trevor
Where the rest is ancient history as near future
Going after the Rolls account
Going chin high with a restless eye of corporate law at Roxbury
Wherever that is in my dusty geography
Things have changed since then
God bless brother cooper who I seldom speak to
As the vision becomes as unto you
Stay yourselves and wonder
It is sealed....

Zoan Revisited
8-15-18

For princes at Zoan we find it afresh
In fields to thresh all for ambassadors in Hanes for all spoils
And material gains
Don't get attached
O, roll your own cigars all for scandals
In the city the heart still whispers sauntering or just to mention it
Come early, Belle for we have stories to tell for lunch at the tennis club
As to park on the arrow right out front with a change of heart
Loving the printed word you and your books
Time to pack it in.....
