12-26-13 session

rough mix of October 10, 2013

Synod
10-10-13

subtle and synodic
Are the meloncholy and melodic
Where we need to know
Of both weal and woe
To see the whole picture
Much more clearly now
To the sound of prog
Where again I beat the grog
In that wet will be made the acacia log
Hoping to build our ark
To shine light upon what is dark
And start a fire by means of one notable spark
Subtle and synodic
Yet to assemble
According to all altruistic affairs....

On Deuteronomy 10:10
10-10-13

Autocephalous alliterations
Aspire to angst
That is much needed
To know the entire forest for the trees
In autocephalous agricultrual antagonism
To serve as the stepping stone
To bring us srtaight through
To the west side of Jordan
A land that floweth with milk and honey
Where we will but water and bread with money
And make due on days like today
When it is not so sunny
Given the current number auspicious and optimistic
According to today's date
And number of studied verse
By which we can show ourselves approved

On Deuteronomy 10:16
10-10-13

I am yet to circumcise
The foreskin of my heart
And be no more stiffnecked
But O, how can I
In being willful
All along the narrow way
With the broad mind of wanderings
Through this terrible and wonderful wilderness
Yet to circumcise the foreskin of my heart
And be no more brass browed
To propigate all misunderstanding
That doth dissolve into due dilligence
Where the city doth sit solitary
And the people still imagine their vain things...

Westward Gaze
10-10-13

Of princes amongst provinces
She hath become tributary
Going to work on the studying to shew oneself approved
This will be the fruit of my labor
Back on the west end of town
To yet discover what it is
To see up close the real me
Where the city sits solitary
And has become as the widow
In that today I am given a perfect view
To the west of me
Going there with new strength
As harts that find their pasture...

On Lamentations 1:3
10-10-13

Judah goes into captivity
Stated in the present tense
To signify its significance
Where Buddha sits in silence
With all patience
Of which Christ hath with us
Beyond measure
Where a man must cease to live for only pleasure
Dealing treacherously with himself at his table
Waging war with all empty space
Merciful by the melody of meekness...

Unmanifested
10-10-13

Of my past tense plaintive passion
I would pride in my tears and perspiration
Where ink travels like tributaries
Branching off from the main course of the water
Making its way across another border
Known as the imaginary division of what lies beyond
O, so hard to describe here in words
When what we see there
Ought not be given form or fashion
When there is no one to understand us...

Significance
10-10-13

Even orphan and widow pages have their significance
By dreams of publishing this new and raw meterial
So that many might come to know
Of all that is available to everyone that has a desire to learn
Of this terrible and wonderful wilderness
Where I without ceasing pray
For my manna and quails
To make plenty this camp
Where I pass another survival test of sorts
To prove that indeed I am able in all of this...

Confidences
10-10-13

I'll be alright
Because I believe
Where the Spirit carries on
No longer afraid of when it all comes to an end
To begin again back at square one
Much like a cloud nine
Where I will be just fine
Even when I lose my way
In this terrible and wonderful wilderness
Wherein I yet wander
In woe and yet weal
Moving onto chapter eleven
To get a glimpse of what I will see in heaven...

Given
10-10-13

Given today two thousand horses
So that I might set riders upon them
And send them off to war
To makes peace in madness that is so
That there can be wholeness
Given today in our chariots of iron
Giving all pledges to the people made as the multitude
Of the stars of heaven
And the grains of sand at sea
Promised to those who will find their way

Right
10-10-13

Every man today is right in his own eyes
Going astray and yet to turn aside to lies
Preferring the darkness over the light of day
As I in that I let it fly and am low as I go high
Given my theme song
To silently sing along
To do what is right
And turn from all wrong
Takig my seat in the stead of the looking glass
Being the watcher of all that lies before me
In taking this step of faith today...

On Isaiah 36:2
10-10-13

Standing at the conduit of the upper pool
In the highway of the fuller's field
Becoming as the wise
But at first as the fool
Yet to surrender to what is to come
Wherein I yield
Given the command
Simply to read today the word of God
Moving soon onto chapter thirteen
To fill my canteen
And to say just what I mean
Where I have made again the scene
Soon again to pass another sabbath
For God's good purpose
Of me being here...

Gift
10-10-13

Repentance is a gift
And not a requirement
We do this because we get to
And not because we must
Where I believe there is a reason why I'm here
At such a circular table
With all books opened to special places
In the Lord that I seek to serve
Getting more today than what I diserve
Where repentance is a gift
And not a requirement
Where I hope to turn around again
And to give over to God all I have
Beginning with this pen
This is my request for today
That I believe that I will receive...

All I Need To Know
10-10-13

God is love
This is all I need to know
In facing my tribulation
Of going home to Mother
To know that blessing will just as well follow
Standing upon a high place
Looking down upon those I am meant to reach
Hoping that I won't miss out on this divide opportunity to begin again
God is love
This is all I need to know to succeed today...

Ingot
10-10-13

Of ingots and bars
I am wealthy in a spiritual sense
Where I gaze up into the stars
Of nuggets and of castings
I don't need to take a trip to Mars
Where on earth there is enough for us all
To live out the rest of our days
Seeking the available knowledge
That is here and now
Reading this chapter
Of the clean and the abominable
Wondering O, how can this help me
When I am not as they
Yet I can see more clearly
What we call today,
The Way...

Zeal
10-10-13

Zoroastrian zebras
Are the zeal of my zoo
Called my own menagerie
Upon my television cabinet
Sitting there for the past two years of diligent study
Of which I give my God the credit for
In that I'm here only as the observer
Like a watcher
Like an angel
To look after those that yet struggle
Half remembering last night's dreams
As I watch the rain falling upon the street
Outside my window facing east
This is my lot
And in such today
I am rich...

Terrapin
10-10-13

Transpacific terrapins
Transmute all tribulation
Trying not too hard to simply be what God has made them
Beautiful and illuminating
Inspired to write this poem by faith alone
O, may this be my remembrance
Praying without ceasing
In that their whispering
Will keep me on my toes
To be yet reassured that God knows...

First Place
10-10-13

Of the elemental and fundamental
And the rudiments of the first principles
I am inspired to that which I have aspired
Seeing with eyes closed
Into a vortex of multicolored illuminations
That come from this simplicity
Of what one can yet conceive
Where seeing doth come
Where one does believe
Knowing not where I'll be led
By the halflight of this rainy day
Beautiful just the way that it is...

10-10-13 poems written at the Queen Street Library

rough poems of 10-11-13

Chillin'
10-11-13

Loving today my God
In any and every way I know how
Yet to forbear the falling rain
That the hunsbandman doth permit and allow
Happy for his crops in fields of weal and woe
Seeing it to be a strength
To say that one does not know
Chillin' with my Dylan
In doughnut fillin'
And much less coffee spillin'
Loving God today
In any and every way I know how...

On Lamentations 1:7,8
10-11-13

Jerusalem is remembered
In the day of her affliction
Given a feminine pronoun
In being the bride
Where our Christ is the groom
Quite fitting
Where for empty spaces
Such a matter leaves room
In that Jerusalem hath grievously sinned
Therefore she is removed
Where all that once has honored her
Despise her today
Because thry have seen her nakedness
But as for me
I love her even more...

Discovery
10-11-13

Her filthiness is in her skirts
For the first time feeling ashamed in her nakedness
Trying now to cover up with badgers' skins and fig leaves
Knowing not the purpose of such a change of heart
Known by those whom gain the knowledge of the truth
Where she doth remember he first and last outcome
In space and time
To see such to be as a new beginning
According to today's verse and rhyme...

Darkest Day
10-11-13

On this darkest day
I will rejoice for as long as I am able
Turning on my Dylan CD's
To turn off my television cable
To be introduced to the true story
Yet I suffer to be my farce and fable
Letting such a thing to be just what it is
In the eyes that want to see the movie
After reading the book on this darkest day
Wherein the sun never came up
Where I settle for the halflight
By the tugging upon my steel hook
Writing these words only for the sake of themselves
By mine affliction in another flowing brook....

My Solemn Feast
10-11-13

Devouring my Deuteronomy in the dark
One verse at a time
To serve as its own igniting spark
By its own illumination
To which I incline an ear to yet hark
Where the adversary doth spread out his hand
Upon all of her pleasant things
Known by he whom jumps around
Back and forth and to and fro
To compare what is spiritual
With that which is yet carnal
Devouring my Deuteronomy in the dark...

My Dark And Light
10-11-13

 Loving today my God
With all my strength and might
Where this gloom is glad
And in this darkness shines another light
Where all shadow is illuminated
Where the black is white
Loving today my Savior
In any way I might know how
Putting on another shot of valerian tea
To salute the here and now
As so I write this rhyme
For the cause of ink alone
As so the head of the corner
Is made of such a rejected cornerstone
Now accepted by those whom walk on by...

On Lamentations 1:11
10-11-13

All of her people sigh and seek bread
Where on this darkest day
I am alive and awake
While being asleep and seemingly as dead
Given their pleasant things for drink and meat
Where I have become as vile
Writing these rhymes in my love seat
Mingled with the hatred of that which lacks perfection
Of tares amongst the chief of our wheat
Where all of her people sigh and seek bread...

Love Is More
10-11-13

Love is a gift to put into practice
And not just an emotion that spurs one on
To return home again
Where love is something to yet do
And not just as a feeling  that makes one high
In and out of happiness this afternoon
In that the sun never came out
Due to such gross darkness
Where love is the sword to take up yet not slay
Where there is no road to joy
Where happiness itself is the way....

Breach
10-11-13

Constantly giving birth
To the love put into practice
For the cause of this emptiness in its fullness
Where fire is sent into my bones
Where such doth prevail
Against those who want to remember last night's dreams
Of constantly giving birth
And breaching one's faith
Pushing hard up against the ebb and tide
Of all we can know today
Pushing until it is understood
Where all that is bad
Starts treating us good
Bruce says that in the present tense
And therefore he still does...

Gold
10-11-13

Gold in the trash
Are our archives in the form of our old school cassettes
Of such platinum in dark closets
Of that which we cannot put into words
Here upon these pages that I pour myself upon
For hours after the chime of high noon
On a rainy day when I play my Dylan archives
And write these compositions
For the sake of themselves
By the alchemy of all that is to follow...

On Lamentations 2:11
10-11-13

Mine eyes do fail with tears
So were the words I wanted to say
To release raw emotion
From a countenence made fairer in sorrow
Where my bowels are troubled
And my liver is poured upon the earth for destruction
This is what I wanted for the cause of balance
So that I might know of joy
In its good timing
According to the will of God
In ink yet rhyming....
