In small successes
Another check to be cashed
And potatoes to be mashed
Contrite with sincere remorse
Still letting nature take her course
Filled with the desire for proper atonement crushed
And worn down outside the east end of town
Many are our afflictions being confident of this
As to overcome addictions somewhere in some other place
In some other time come enthusiasm for good works
Drawing out the spear for pageantry of all servants
Bring out also the spear and I'm cutting it close today
Let the Lord be magnified for what I break down
Moses meek above all men of the face of the earth
In subtle synchronation of silver studs of sanity
Hear Him now
I beseech thee!

Yea, three more nuggets of perfect knowledge
About the resurrection
They rob us not of our property of poetry
O, how I greatly long for you
By the whole palace guard and soul glass shard
As to deliver these Nephites and be dead
Our rights such privileges to do what is right
Trying to keep a handle on the vice today
As to light a candle to pay the price today
In our praetorium we find it afresh for I know that my redeemer liveth
As so the Spirit life as we can know it giveth
O, stiffnecked namely me brought forth out of my prison cell
If you need anything just yell
As sufficiently harbored in a tree that has fallen
What is that thou you have testified where Satan lied
Leprous and white as snow.....






Of Conduct Worthy

For those who don't know the way
Show us she to follow as I reach you
Let me be the light of the world
Zealous for keeping our covenants
Knowing of things to come for his seven knocks
Teach me the way the truth and the light of the life
Head up now I beseech thee and let the Spirit teach thee
As to stand at the latter day
Don't turn your back on those that are
Concern as the cloud departs and we journey not
White as snow bright as tomorrow
We go with anger kindled not in dark speeches
But as the word teacher for the similitude
To get my boots in the mood
As it behooved Him to suffer for us
Make believe is our Hamlet
For the similitude and another clean shave
We huddle together in crazy weather....

Believe thee that the Son of God will come
Save it here a good thought and a chord to strum in every synagogue
Time to step into the water for shadows plastered as ourselves
Yet to be mastered
If there be any consolation
Pray for the Spirit today
Slipping into more crazy dreams
As to rejoice as long as Christ is preached
According to missing sausage links
Methinks according to earnest expectation
Enough to play the role of dream lucidity to the whole palace guard

I beseech you do something today
In nothing shall I be ashamed
For expectation of deliverance
Spending my time in mountains and vales
When all else fails in affection and mercy.....
