D'or

D'er For The Prize
12-19-18

Recommending Forster to cut you in half
For the ghosts of redwoods in command of forest foragers
Laurie still says keep on writing poetry for your people
Daring for this pursuit to press onward at Sutherland Hornblower
Trapped in a desperate place against time by ferocious action of our next startling move
For the enemy ruthless and brilliant ranged with the best of ones kind
We're just counting the miles all for our Horatio integer and ratio
Of thrice ones reputation flushed with light all for Lydia....

Eight Shillings A Day
12-19-18

Caring for cottonmouths as if she was my own
In cotton gins where it all turns to stone
By the ways of couch potatoes that learn much from football games
And the races and the fights as to be lucky in this town
As to counteract in counterculture opposed to the norm as to enlist for willing hearts
Of thrice the clearing of ones name under our seventy-four guns on the under deck
Of our Navidad in all cloying tenderness as ward with blue walls....

Unweatherly
12-19-18

By their prayers for you today
We have so much to do and so little time for His exceeding grace
And the beat of your heart thanks be to God for this unspeakable gift
Planned out as Dutch-built ungainly bells will be ringing
Thought about buying a can of nuts but thought better of it
As to clean it off of our Lee shore unrelieved in Rockyard Congregation
Where love is a power greater than death at our Wherrymen supplying all deficiency
All victuals in lines ungainly growing accustomed longingly and hopeful.....

Some Say, "Too Far Gone"
12-19-18

As to feel ones new command
As to know ones deepest affection in desert sand
By the bakery going slowly by across water
It's what I do parting the Red Sea
It's who I am in shipwrights and rigging reevaluating ones triggers
Able-bodied gold digger quickened by the burden of the need to get with his man
Scoring as an introvert
I shine my spotlight upon the crown looking for someone to be
Introduced to much more merely for melody...
