infirmity, embraced
Infirmity
4-16-14
The theme here and now
Is the law restated
Happy to be today by the world hated
In that soon it will be time
To surrender and to yield
Standing on the corner of Market and Garfield
If indeed there is such a place yet to go
I rejoice in mine infirmity
Under God's grace
Where Jesus answers, yeah, I will
By the farther side of Jordan
He taught them much
I wait for my optimum view
To once more face west
I rejoice in my infirmity
In that I am put to the test....
On Mark 9:49, 50
4-16-14
For everyone shall be salted with fire
Shaking through and opportune
Is he whom doth preach to the choir
Have salt within yourselves
To earn your hire
For the happiness of your heart
He wrote you this precept
I pray for those
Whom wish to attend the job fair
Where I sit at my table and read the sign
And they twain become as one flesh
For every one shall be salted with fire
Baptized in one's refinement
Suffer children to come to me
For such is the greatest in the kingdom
Forbid them not
For everyone shall be salted....
Pillar Of Salt (Lo, We Have Followed You)
4-16-14
Why call me good
There is no one good but God
I have high hopes to understand this precept
And to claim my seat upon an east table
Plowing on into chapter ten
So that I might take up tablet and pen
To practice my passion of my profession
I rejoice in mine infirmity
It is easier for a camel
To go through the eye of a needle
Than a rich man to enter the kingdom
Turning back to become a pillar of salt
As he that humbles oneself
Yeah, God doth exalt
Reading these verses backwards
In skimming the river
That rages north
Lo, we have left all
And have followed thee.....
Believe And Receive
4-16-14
Yet to believe that I will receive
And therefore be given my petition
Forgive if ye have aught against any
Accept with importunity and repetition
What would ye that I should do for you
By faith I begin again
Where I left off last year
Go thy way
Thy faith hath made you whole
Be of good comfort
It shall be given unto thee
For whom it is prepared
And from this point on
I write what is on my heart
To but engrave by way of an old and new writing
In a new tablet
Fair enough, so let it be
I am what I am
In his majesty....
Turning The Page
4-16-14
Strawing branches in the way
As one to declare to be doing okay
Casting garments upon the colt
For something to say
Because the Lord had need of him
Hosanna, blessed is he that comes in his name
Coming to Bethany and Bethphage
Being one to find the strength
To turn again the page
Speaking on this side of the Jordan
Letting the bird out of his cage
Calling into remembrance
The fig tree yet to bring forth fruit
Strawing branches in the way
Blessed be the kingdom
Hosanna in the highest
I am what I am today
In Jesus.....
Forgiveness, The Key
4-16-14
Yet in my Edrei and Ashteroth
I find my way in the steam of minestrone broth
Spelling out my latest rhymes to express how I am wroth
Killing Sihon and Og
For the cause of fulfillment
Where forgiveness is the key to one's healing
Not according to what one might be feeling
On this side of Jordan
These merchants are yet dealing
In the land of Moab
Where I stare at my ceiling
You have dwelt in this mountain long enough
Turn ye northward
And your legs will receive strength
To go on foot
Forgiveness is the key to every door....
On Deuteronomy 1:8
4-16-14
To Jacob, to Israel and to Abraham
This land has been promised
Go and claim it
And join me to an Easter ham
Halleluliah, I can smell it
Under the shades of trees
Of which even a child can spell it
Firs, oaks and elms
Oars, rudders and helms
Making our way back upstream
Last night I had another disturbing dream
Getting back up into my Mount Seir
Being one to go there and face my giants
And face my fear
A mean idea to call my own
For those that have ears
Let them hear....
Pearl Of Great Price
4-16-14
Pearls of wisdom
Doth fall from my lips
In what I am yet to speak of
And the honey drips
Washed in the blood and sweat
Of he that goes on day trips
Showing not partiality
Hearing the small as well as the great
Being not afraid of the presence of man
In one's resentment, bitterness and folly of such hate
Digging my place for a winefat that God did create
The stone which the builders rejected
Hath become the head of the corner
As therefore we will be as those that wait
Given the patience in asking for this consolation.....
Penny
4-16-14
So there is Lincoln on the penny
Mentioned in the King James translation
In allusion to our Caesar
And they marveled at him
Plowing onward according to my high tower
Being as one to yield to my higher power
As Jesus sits right beside me
As a watchful eye
Do ye not therefore err in asking why
And as touching the deaf
I play my classic archives
To discern the contrast
Of truth and of lie
Therefore ye do greatly err
Bringing you closer to a God
That cares for you today.....
Departing Thence From Horeb
4-16-14
Yet to believe it
So that I can receive it
Departing thence from Horeb
To go into the wonderful and terrible wilderness
So I can love my God with all mine understanding
O, Lord all I ask is that I will make it through
Coming soon again to the mountain of the Amorites
So that I might reach out to you
Ye therefore do greatly err
As sure as my cat lies beside me and does purr
She has been a great companion
Yet to believe it
So that I can receive it
As one to love my God with all my strength
It is a good land
As which God is giving us
Stated in the present tense
Now is the time for the kingdom
As today we can truly be....
