revivalist

Revivalist (Quiescent)
6-5-16

Everyone eat that is left in the land
I bide the Word of my if, but and and
Baby, I'm weak but maybe I'm strong
Shaving with a razor hired
Namely for one whom is out of work
I just come here to get away
And to pray that the sermon will relate to my life
Beyond the river by the King of Assyria
The head and the hair of the feet for coffee richer
It never gets old
Except as a gain in godliness
We cherish the grace radically spoken of
By contemporary preachers quiescent
Where temple bells guide me to the shore
For another revivalist
As a vile residue
And a story about me and you
And it's just life
New to me.....

Before I Go (Silverling)
6-5-16

But they wouldn't do for no one else
Gave me the thrill
Another one for the silverling
With arrows and bows
And songs of sparrows only God knows
In that all of the land becomes as briers and thorns
I see the silver lining through shared fences
And on all hills digged with a mattock
I purchase my two dollar title
To the greatest story ever told
Before we dream by day
Sitting at a rocking table with much consolation
In my melancholy mood
At my arm's embrace
Given to me to break the chains
Soon it's time to head on off and hear God speak
And then having first been cajoled and coerced....
