post resurrection

Post Resurrection
9-26-17

Lord, I pray
Have me to hang in
At least till the ordeal is done
And allow me to pass muster
After all I have seen
To the ends of the earth
Throughout the remainder
It is not for us to know the times and seasons
Praying over photographs
As snapshots no longer in the existence
Of the reality we seek
Yes, I cried for you for forty days
Of Christ's post resurrection
Only obscene the gauge of the cylinder
Putting on Godspeed in my coffee cup
Tomorrow morning
I do it to myself these days....

Lay Up Treasure In Heaven
9-26-17

Are you the fiery circle I've been looking for
Behold you are worse than they
To claim the broken nose
That a heart as to fast until clamoring
Just as sure as I am born again again
Walk after the Spirit
I killed the green spider
For one less thing to worry about
In soon the search for monastic preoccupation
Of my soul's purification
Blessed in this knowledge
As the best of substance in this great city
We are as brothers looking for something pretty
By love and by annihilation
Shame on your wicked schemes
See weights and measurements
A cure of the curse when it gets better
After getting worse....

You Don't Quit
9-26-17

Clothed with costly apparel
Samuel predicts light in the night
And three days of darkness as pale as a ghost
Samuel did but prophesy
As one to howl in perfect silence
O, that we have repented
As things become slippery
On the slope of high hope
As to but grope
Of things which cannot be written
In that it is hard against you
Believe on the Son of God and have everlasting life
For signs and wonders and echoings of thunders
In spiritual plunders
Which you heard from me
In a wonderful coughing fit
Still you don't quit...
