I lied

I Lied Again
7-16-09

Lying is a habit most often abused
I bear false witness so that from fellowship I might be excused
Happy in soliloquy and solitude
Yet I won't starve for in my house is plenty of food
In lying there are few that will have remorse
As crackers and cheese so serve as my first course
It is good to not bring up the same offense twice
When we find there are worse things by which we roll the dice....

No Offense Taken
7-16-09

When they call us paleface we are not offended
Coming down from our ivory tower
And from loftiness we have descended
Yet some still use the word used over two hundred times by Mark Twain
Such a word we won't use today like a storm cloud of torrential rain
There are smarter ways to say what we mean
As due to superstition in a hotel there is no floor thirteen
All is cliche therefore vain...
