Ye (Our Epistle)
3-26-18
Of ministry the doctrine is the glue
Clearly ye are our epistle
Spiritual and glorious
O, take that elephant
But take him not for his tusks
As made sufficient for corn ears and husks
And I must say that this corn requires no butter
For worn harder to articulate or even utter on the contrary
I still love you
Coming to Troas to bring around glad tidings
With a song to spare of ministry glorious
Not as legal tender for the moral law
We want to cover up today and tomorrow
By the sword of the Word and ear, our understanding
Departing soon for Macedonia
It is triumphant for its sufficiency
Keep today all composure in confidence and trust
And then to Gethseneme
For pre-socratic greed
Given permission to speak.....
