emergence

Emergence
4-30-14

By the emergence from the eclipse
In this going out into the transit
I am provided transportation
Coming in the form of jubilation
But I say did not the city of York
Know the purpose of the downfall of rain that pours
And the salvation today of drunkards and whores
Doing tricks and stopping into state stores
Where Christ is the end of the law for righteousness
Yeah, the Word is nigh thee
O, how shall they preach lest they be sent
Where love is a power greater than death
O, doth not the city of York know....

Barbarian
4-30-14

My cubicle mate has moved on
I prayed for him to have a wonderful day
As me, likewise
I pray for those automatic writings
To lift up the name of God
And now I have my perfect view
To the west of me
Ready to be as a beacon
For the word
To both the barbarians and the Greeks
Unto both he whom hides
And he whom seeks
Say not in thine heart
Who shall ascend
Where with the heart a man believes
And with the mouth he doth confess
Yet primitive and uncivilized
Am I by the syllables
To yet accentuate and stress
My cubicle mate has moved on
I wish him well...

On Romans 10:12
4-30-14

There is no difference
Between the Jew and the Greek
There is no contrast
Yeah,
There is no distinction
Yes their sound went into all of the earth
Responsible for many today to come to see their rebirth
How beautiful are the feet
Of those that bring it around
No girls with sandals on quite yet
But I know that the best is yet to come
When today is the day of my salvation
For whomsoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
And whomsoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed
My inspection has passed
And here I am again today
Yeah, I made it
Hallelujiah and Hosanna
As Esaias is very bold today
By way of my pen
In entering into the month of May....

Today, It Is
4-30-14

On this last day of April
Rain is pouring down
As I swing my hammer
Soon to come my forty-one
Still under the sun
As to obtain the prize
I yet run by a pen to ramble
And yet stammer
O, hath God cast away his people
God forbid and certainly not
Crudely ornate and rich
By my hands that doth yet tremble and twitch
Where they're calling for floods in the streets
Flowing into my deep ditch
They bow down their back always
Yeah, they have killed the prophets
And dug down their altars
Just so they might offer up themselves
As a worthy sacrifice
On this last day of April
I so let it be....

envelope

Envelope
1-4-14

Four hundred and thirty years later
A magic envelope comes into existence
So I can pay my rent come Monday
Of which we do not add nor annul
By the glory of selfies
Hung upon my west wall
Sipping today on my chamomile
As the music is a perfect description
Of all I think and feel
Four hundred and thirty years later
The law is added because of offenses
Having much to do with past, present and future tenses
Making not the promise of no effect
By the smoothness of garden fences....

Bride
1-4-14

Yes, we are called as the Jews
In my cessation of my excess
According to my much wanted booze
Where the word of God
Is where I choose to get my news
By our passage paraphrased
According to out lunatics, fanatics in the word
And crazed beside themselves
For this great cause
By perfection that comes about by our flaws
Yes, we are of Christ, the bride
Being ones to come out and say it
And no longer try to hide...

Of But One Word
1-4-14

I must say that a billion or so poems
Can be today written of but one word
Of such Scripture
Seen as honorable and illuminating
And by no means insignificant or absurd
By this inexhaustible supply
Coming from the Source
Of what can never be used up
Making hot again my herbal teacup
Learning to love what God hath made of me
Putting my new mirror gift to its proper use
Adoring all that I see
In my morning juice....

Had
1-4-14

It seems that what tastes good
Can, on us, go bad
Thrown for a loop
In that again I've been had
Where our simple pleasure
Doth serve as a passing fad
By recollections of my first infatuation
Wanting to recreate it
In its saturation mawkish and sentimental
To an old Springsteen tune played full blast
While playing Nintendo games
Telling my girl that I was sick
And that I couldn't make the scene
By the contrast of yellow snow
By the fallen needles of my main evergreen
Trying to build muscle by way of milkshakes
Yet to find out just what it takes to be a man...

Proof
1-4-14

Now to Abraham and his seed
Were the promises made
In a place where it reaches a hundred and two in the shade
By our need of cold water and the clay yet preserved of the potter
And seeds of many
That will be as one
Not here on business
But here just for fun
By the law proved inveterate
Sinfulness of the nature of all mankind
Being a thing I cannot grasp
In this limited scope of my fleshly mind
As so my mission is accomplished
Ready to send out my rent check
Paid in full and signed...

By One Commandment Kept
1-4-14

The intent of the law is condemnation
Where one is commended in where he succeeds
To keep but one of these commandments
Written upon fleshly tablets of stone
For the cause that we need not stand alone
By our preparatory discipline
In entering our danger and comfort zone
Being much too hard on myself
Disguising my voice over the telephone
As the seed doth come
To whom the promise was made
As so this price in full by Jesus is paid...

fortify

Fortify
3-16-14

Thoroughly fortified once again
By the Word and name
Deeply encouraged in that today I'm not quite the same
Jumping back into the deep end
Of my pool no longer imputed
As the victor or the fool
Standing fast in all ordeals
According to this golden rule
Knowing to be in this fight to but win
With my just ephah
And my just hin
Thoroughly justified
In that I came, saw and conquered....

Checking the Mail
3-16-14

Amidst the lodging place for travelers
We yet linger
To sprinkle once again
Tap water from a willing finger
Anointing the veil in God's love
That will never fail
To yet hearken and hail
Amongst my living quarters
I scribble this rhyme
And once again I check the mail
Where every man takes heed to his neighbor
Where every brother doth supplant
And every neighbor doth walk with slanderers
For the cause of this dispensation
That transcends wheat
We can taste, touch hear and see....

Sunday Night
3-16-14

It's Sunday night
And I'm doing more than just alright
Being one to contradict this predictable cliché
Being as He whom doth seek deeper
Into the narrow way
Where eternal life is the here and now
Taking up my rod to speak to the rock
And it will bring forth fresh cold clear drinking water
To assuage my thirst
Brought into the land He has given us
Because we believe indeed that we will...

On Jeremiah 8:7
3-16-14

Even the stork in the heavens
Knows her appointed times
Given this advantage
Of heinous handwriting
In that no one can forge my signature
Yeah, this remark made a brother chortle
To give me hopes in a future in being immortal
Where everyone turns to his own course
As one to fall into the void
And surrender to the portal
Taking it all as it comes
As the turtledove, the swift and the swallow
Accompanying Phil on the drums....

good job

Good Job
1-4-15

Justified in your words
Overcoming when thou art judged
Consider the flowers and those birds
Seeking not natural bitterness of that grudge
Let God be true and every man a liar
This is a good start in me returning to it
Passages stand out
As miracles like magic
And I'm gifted but not by a golden calf
Don't give up, O don't give in
Thirty is my limit at the store tomorrow
Washing helping hands
For all joy in sorrow
Justified
Good start, good job...

Built
1-4-15

Guilt is built
And coffee is spilt
So that I might trace the stains
With this pen so that I might stand fast in the rains
And go back to do it all again
Destruction and misery are in their ways
None are exempt from breathing in chlorine at hotel stays
I don't even know where I was
In the days when I thought that life was a game
No navel gazing this time around
I see my glory even in my shame...

All Is Sacred (Part 2)
1-4-15

No one righteous, no not one
I hear a knock in the hallway
And wish away the night
Of my cloud sheathed sun
I wish him well on his way
I lean to with open arms
And not with a loaded gun
Stark naked
I break the silence
According to the chess game
That the champion already won
There is no one to understand me
According to Mother's cinnamon bun
There is no one whom really seeks
They have all turned aside
Yeah, I'm back in there
And I'm glad to take the dog off the chain....

What Then?
1-4-15

To be under this judicial sentence
So is ones true nature
Looking down the barrel of the devil's gun
But not afraid
Yes, he is afraid of us
A small believing girl is his worst nightmare
Under the cloud sheathed sun
For all have sinned and fall short
So may we encourage one another and exhort
The medicine is working better now
As something sweet to report
The blood of the lamb is on my front door
And in the land of Goshen
To learn there is so much more....

On Romans 3:31
1-4-15

Where is boasting
It is excluded
By what law
By the law of faith protruded
Give it up for apostle Paul
He did his good work in penning his epistles
While in prison
It could have been a whole lot worse
He could have thrown in the towel
This life is cold
But we are inside where it's warm
Where is boasting then
It is left out of the equation
On the contrary
We establish the law
But not by persuasion
Where is boasting?

Bookmark
1-4-15

Bookmark at Romans chapter four
I take a break to return to all that I have written about it
And somehow I can say that no one needs to doubt it
O, Soul savage the heart
Zealous for truth and enthusiastic
Hallelulijia is a word I never learned how to spell
Phone ringing across the hallway does not concern me
And I ought to have no fear
While in the word
Once, twice and thrice again...

Abishag
1-4-15

Come Abiathar and Adonijah
I haven't got a clue
I will never learn it all
Until I get to heaven
But I will seek it for the rest of my days
Come Abishag the Shumanite
I have my new dreams tonight
Up since six
Not too early
And not too late
I get my morning joe to the world fix
The ord is come and I have enough on my plate
O, can the drugs really work for one in distress
The answer is both yes and no
By insanity's question
O, help me to understand...

onyx

Onyx
12-13-14

Sampling my prisms
Yet to embark on another tome
Of rhyme bridging the schisms
R.E.M. on my computer speakers
Of downloads for free
And moderate mannerisms
I hear the fireworks of another
Black Silk pot yet brewing
This one goes out to the One I love
Seeming to be lacking its indigo
The onyx as my latest muse
As soon the sun cometh up
On my peacefulness
By my new drug in its tranquility
I give it another alibi
In that I let it fly...

Trying Cessation
12-13-14

Watching my Wellbutrin
Knowing not its adversity
Sampling my Chantax
Hoping for no such antagonism
O, will it work alongside my other prescription drugs
I'm better best to rearrange
And if it works for me
It's nothing strange
By such an insatiable craving
Yet conducive
In that it tastes good to me
It's the beginning of a new world
As far as purblind eyes can clearly see
And I feel wonderful...

Stand Back And Listen
12-13-14

Taking up Geometry
O, stand back and listen
Hanging up more ornaments
To reflect colored lights that glisten
Keep a chart and a calendar
And log the day's events
Before your alter ego repents
You can train yourself to cease and desist
And consider making a more healthy shopping list
My family tree serves as my motive to live on
And to be good to myself
Come the light of another dawn
Taking up trigonometry
Until I disengage the blade
To cut the lawn...

Four Down, One To Go
12-13-14

Journal pages can be like cigarette rolling papers
When you run out you can always get more
O, stand back and observe
In what you have found in this
Keeping motives pure
And I'm up before the light of day
To write these rhymes until my hand gets sore
Try to wear this on your sleeve
By my repetitious act of self destruction
One raises his fingers to his mouth
As a learned behavior
Such seems to be a long shot
But it's worth another try...

Trans Fat
12-13-14

Don't mean to be parsimonious
Hallelujiah, it was another wonderful trip
To the steak house with Mother
Coming home to talk about the passion
And hum along to my spiritual ration
Not everyone can carry the weight of the world of fashion
I'm back in the swing of things
This is not all that she wrote
According to my generous ration
When I try to give it up
I'm losing track of the time
Apology accepted
I didn't need to miss the boat
Where trans fat sticks to my blood vessels
In that talk is cheap
Come the tongue that wrestles...

flask

Flask
1-4-14

Is Christ therefore a minister of sin
God forbid
By my memories
Of the out trips
To the convenience store
Sipping my coffee upon which is a tight lid
I could not seal shut
What I had on my heart
To but shine forth
Being one to gamble
By which my wages I yet bid
For if I build again the things destroyed
I make myself a transgressor
Yet amongst and amid
As a window pried ajar
And my deeds that travel far...

Odd And Even
1-4-14

I, through the law
Died to the law
That I might live to God
While that which appears to be even
Has potential to be found as odd
Where it is I that no longer liveth
But Christ in me
In that I am yet to love them
With an iron rod
Capturing this base riff
To build my hut with bricks of sod
For if righteousness comes by this law
Then Christ is dead in vain
Made once again alive
By the thawing of snowfall
That melts into rain....

Two Sides Included
1-4-14

Justification is wholly apart from the law
Where grace doth abound
As well inside dishes of red beets and coleslaw
O, foolish Galatians
Who hath bewitched thee
That you should base this faith upon vegetables raw
Where so is contained more nutrition
By the wall torn down
Of such a partition
Turning the pulpit over to Bruce
He has a new style
In his eighteenth studio album
Coming out next Tuesday
I say this much to be not one to deny Him....

Putting In Another Shift
1-4-14

I practice my faith
Every time I look back down upon my Bible page
Where I can always come back to it
According to today's shift and worker's wage
Being today the poet
Twice before called the sage
Before whose eyes Jesus was clearly portrayed among you
As crucified where the way is narrow
But the mind yet is vast and wide
I put my faith into action
Every time I take up this pen
Being one grateful for this advantage
To read the book of Galatians again....

Dead And Alive
1-4-14

Last night I fell fast asleep
During the Cotton Bowl
To dream of what I would try to do
According to my new years resolution and goal
So I step up to turn off my television
And went on my merry way
Back to bed in my own way
Of being very much alive while dead
As so my cat uses my Schofield Bible for a pillow
And man doth not live upon only bread
Not by the works of law
But by the hearing of faith
Much more than just in my head....

On Galatians 3:9
1-4-14

Those whom are of faith
Are blessed with our believing Abraham
So I answered again my telephone
And it was another money making scam
I should have talked to them about Jesus
But I just hung up and went back to my meditation
Determined to make it through the day
With a word such as Beautiful
That was all I had to say
Still subject to the works of the law
And therefore I see this curse
With prayers that as well
My brother will come to understand this verse....

wish

Wish
11-9-14

I make a wish just to get through today
At my magic time of eleven eleven
Get back on my case
Jesus advocate for all of my discontent
So shall the coming of the son of man ought to be
Come the main point of these things we are saying
We have a High Priest in the heavens
That knows our infirmities
You're a reasonable man
Get back on my case
We know not until the flood doth come upon us
Set yourself on fire
O, what did I see when I go there
Today to build my wall
O, watch and pray as leaves still fall
I make my will to but be
As one to survive it
Heaven and earth shall pass away
But my words will not
Jump into the river
And let your angels swim away
I make my wish...

Consider
11-9-14

Now consider how great this man still is
As of today now consider all that you've been through
In that it is made new
I make my wish just to persevere
And to myself be real and true
Endless and indissoluble
As one of the few
Endless and continual
Written by another pen of blue
Stopped at Rutter's for my jerky and smoke
Blessed is such a servant
Whom his Lord when he comes
Is found in intercession
O, watch and pray
Until the end of the day
To anoint and make fat
He whom lost much weight
From prayer and fasting
For the cause of a covenant everlasting
Now consider....

Anticipation
11-9-14

I have much to look forward to
In my coffee house and my library
I couldn't taste it
But I came to know how it could be
Five had oil and the other five had not
I pray for this wisdom when I return
For I still have so much more to learn
In the beginning was the Word
The Word was with God
And the Word was God
By my goal to express all joy and sorrow
In hopes for another prolific tomorrow
I'm tired and naked
Stepping out of the bath water
In a clean change of briefs and socks
I have much to look forward to...
