grain

Grain
4-18-15

One grain is equal to fifty milligrams
Information to those to buy their spouse a diamond ring
One quarter carat
The smallest unit of weight in British systems of measure
Needing cold for warmth
Needing pain for pleasure
I so must say to myself to get over it
And enjoy the next hour of leisure
Thankful for what I don't have
No strings attached
No kids, no car, no job
I'm free depending upon
What such freedom is to me
In my new arrival....

Phlox
4-18-15

My phlox is cultivated for her flowers
Using feminine pronouns
To regard to earthly things
O, she looks so liberated with sleep upon my heart
Just one more coffee before I hit the road
Counting my blessings of sunlight
Brew, smoke and the time that passes by smoothly
By my writings, my phlox is known for her beauty
Even if I never met her on my new arrival
I hope to beat my phlegm
Beat the grog and save my day
For Christ is the light, the truth and the Way...

Closure
4-18-15

My collection just to look upon
On the south end of my proverbial scriptorium
And rare live tracks on my dell
With nothing I need buy or sell
In calmness and composure
And a sign of relief in such closure
For sluggishness and apathy
Some say that we are here to graze
And I know that there will be better days
To drink the waters of the river Nile
To get by on my denial
As those of Noph and Tahpanhes
Have broken the crown of your head
And you turned the other cheek
As a man of peace would
And his mercy endureth forever....

Send To Kedar
4-18-15

O, send to Kedar
And diligently consider
What is to be done for the next risky bidder
A game of chance dependent upon circumstance
And another victory dance
What injustice hath your fathers found in Me
Get out and get what you can
If it's alright with mother
Where we lost what we thought we were keeping
And my China doll is still sleeping
I remember you and the love of your betrothal
I cried upon my pillow for an hour
And it felt good to let it all out
O, send to Kedar
And diligently seek
Much time to come to understand
Of how blessed are the meek....

Letting My Feet Breathe
4-18-15

Hair doth grizzle
The sky will soon drizzle
And hoar hairs
I will not be ashamed of my age
But blessed with the years God hath given me
One day old and wise
Finding new ways to behold the sunrise
Meanwhile back in the year of '01
Still a babe in Christ
With my pants undone
Come the first day I wear my Jesus shoes
Clipped my toenails yesterday
Before I'd lose my place again
And find it again in Him
Who gives us all the rest we need
I let my feet breathe....

Moreover
4-18-15

Moreover the word of the Lord came to me
Saying, take up your pen and stay out of bed
Now that you have fixed your hair with gel
Moreover I would respond in all acceptance
The opposite of denial
I aim for hoping for more than just a vacant stare
Moreover hear the words of this covenant
The only thing written in my living will
Is to impart these tablets to secretaries
But O, don't pull the plug on me quite yet
God still has things for me to do
Unto those who stagger
Moreover I must find a new way to walk
Where you went after me in the wilderness
Moreover
I am yet to be the rover
Send to Kedar and diligently consider
Moreover....
