Alarum
10-15-15
For lonely teardrops spilled upon my pillow
It felt so good to weep the way I did
And no such surliness or ill humor
And no such irritable state of mind to thwart nor foil
Tetchy, peevish and touchy, our alarum
And call to arms at our table
We get out all of our charms
I can hear the radio
And I know that motor wagon will do its thing
For you and I surly and gruff
Of rain we had just enough
Blue skies today for our event
Tetchy and surly
It is just as it is
And it's almost Saturday night....
Shall He Not Much More Clothe You
10-15-15
Ominous, arrogant and domineering
The clouds soon assemble
Where I came upon a stranger lying on the ground
I am one to lend and not to borrow
As I see fit to get things done tomorrow
If God so clothe the grass of the field
So much more will be our breastplate and shield
Come the King with fierce features
I'll be over there where the river flows for the vision
Of mornings and evenings which was told is true
Therefore seal up such a vision
For it refers to the days yet to be....
Brazen Lock
10-15-15
To God belongeth mercy and forgiveness
As the key to every brazen lock
That even Solomon in all his glory
Was not arrayed like one of these
This is my way to learn the Scripture
She says it does no good unless I apply it to life
But I will soldier on with my box cutting knife
Cutting shrink wrap for sup, lot and hap
The veil is torn down in the midst
Consider the lilies of the field
How they grow and toil not
Neither do they spin
In my situation of lose therefore win
To God belongeth mercy....
On Daniel 8:17 (check it out)
10-15-15
Two ends seem to be in view
One for me and one for you
Under the first king of Alexander
We discern just what is true
His power shall be mighty
But not by his own
I will not be the one to cast the first stone
Look, I am making known to you that which must soon come to pass
Now that the sun is up upon the dew on the grass
I've got the change of season blues
And I take no part of the morning news
Now don't be sad
It's going to be alright
And if you're strong
It's come and go tonight....
