undeserving

Undeserving
6-22-15

Undeserving, that's what we are
So went the hymn
Sold for enough money to buy a car
I'm sitting on gold
Now that I have come this far
In why Moses reflected
The truth is worth repeating
All verses we pick and choose
By what we want to hear
Selected to declare the Word of the Lord in Zion
About our Messiah resurrected
He will not always strive with us
In our city dump portrayed as a our hell
Prayer ought to be a work done in secret
Still going around in circles
Yet with stories to tell
Undeserving....

Turn Ye Northward
6-22-15

Prayer is work
In my chair I yet linger and lurk
With matted hair and a need of a perk
Becoming complaisant and stagnant and no more fresh
We need to stir it up with the music of Weir and Lesh
Man lives not on bread alone
Turn ye northward
You have compassed this mountain long enough
For one day I'll need to leave behind all of my stuff
Dangerous to get comfortable
The road gets rough
Prayer is hard work
Stay excited
Remember where you came from...

Review (Part 2)
6-22-15

Twenty minutes to spare
I would like to be able to say that I don't care
Walking over to my appointment with matted hair
There's a lot of water under the bridge
O, why Moses reflected
The truth is worth repeating
Deuteronomy is a book of review
So I turn the page and get my preview
George Washington said
You cannot govern without the book
O, read it and gain the power
And practice joy for yet another hour
In a need to live above routine....

One To Brooks
6-22-15

I play my song for Jessica
I can mention such a name
For she is in the past
Choosing five smooth stones from the brooks
To have my sling to cast if One quits
Walking in circles
He will have God's favor
Turning down my A.C.
To savor the coolness and her flavor
I will be with you
As I have been with thee
A pretty instrumental composition
Suitable for the happy mood at hand
Step out on faith
My mother says that going places
Makes me who I am
As Jabez prays, O enlarge our coasts....
