rhapsody

Rhapsody
12-31-15

I think I met you in another life
Somewhere in spaces between
My blue and green
Know your custom
For today you need not make the scene
Mine heritage is unto me
As a lion in the forest
To cry out against me
I have given the dearly beloved of his own soul
Up at five thirty
Reading to write, O praise my God
For this blue ink given time to think
I reach my right hand to heaven
Carrying in my heart the true country
O, rhapsody immoderately impassioned
Seeking autonomy
My cigarettes need be rationed....

Chignon
12-31-15

More badinage last evening libidinous
The harlot whispers I dare you
Another chignon
At the nape of my neck
Seeking autonomy though always dependent
I sip my coffee to kill my somnolence
And my malarkey starts to make to me perfect sense
One hour till sunrise
To stay out of the rack and sack would be wise
Enthusiastic and ecstatic
I am ready for another prolific one
For to bring in sweet sixteen
Second fix and not as such drunken....

I'm A New Me
12-31-15

Chignon, the magic word
Defined as a roll and knot of hair
She's a mess but I really don't care
Mine inheritance is with me as a speckled bird
As today I delve deep in name and Word
They have trodden my portion
And I'm a new me
Come sweet sixteen
O, may it be come ye
Assemble all beasts
Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard
They have made it desolate
Set apart by the holy Spirit
The voice of God and not of a man
The soldiers are come upon high places
When these men come from West Point
It's time to get clean and get dressed....
