squirrel

A Squirrel Survives
5-11-16

A squirrel survives the climb by day
I've got a shiny small blade
I'll cut you in half
For what you're made
Mixing it together with a mind
Wishing for real leather
Some say it is murder
O, such stinging stagnant words
Stick to me like the addiction
A fire down the road
Coming up here
Consorting with Paul and Silas
Branching out into many broken twigs
I what am I even doing here
For out of much affliction and anguish heart
I write unto you in this fashion
For more abundant love to you....

Mouldy Provisions
5-11-16

Truth of contradiction on our minds
With belief in the oxymoron
For lemon rinds out of guilt of curiosity
In using such metaphors
Great is your reward in heaven
Hoarding it in mouldy parchments
The last to die for a mistake
And I write the same to you
Counting the miles
You and me in a country that ought to be free
Looking back on previous pages
I sacrifice my time
Getting lost in my phones
Having confidence in you
All that our joy is mutual
With past's blood rusted key
Where the wise men were all fools.....

Blind Enough To Return To Sea
5-11-16

I jump overboard
And sacrifice the boat
Sweating it in the taking of another note
I don't care if I'm crazy
In such times where I stand for what I believe
As coffee and smoke heat up my esophagus
For better and worse
We ourselves must pilgrims be blind enough to return to sea
And I hold you in my heart for a downtown window fused with life
O, the same that makes me sorry by me
God forbid
God is my lover and not my jailer
If any have caused grief
He hath not grieved me
Sufficient to such a man contrariwise....
