Storming
8-18-16
For the sweating Methodist preacher
We clap our hands at the end of the sermon
To join in on the unity in diversity
Recruiting at the Alamo
Come and see
Loving, planting cautioning
The kids are in town
I tread day and night
Such roam and out of my bag
I pick a good one
To play on my old school Sony
Hunting polar fins
We share his gun
Rocking at dawn at six the sun comes up
Coming home with the bush-boy
Where the fun is
Ascending to the dump truck
To get again unstuck....
Chalked
8-18-16
Chalked in large letters
Fifty-three days till summer vacation
Taking my place late at night in the crow's nest
To understand large hearts of knees
As no guard could shut me off
O, Lamed
This time around stay out of bed
Prepared for war and peace
Paul's son in the faith
He led him to the Lord
Our lawless and disobedient
Twice atomic committed to my trust
For this cause I obtain mercy
As the ancient are persecuted
And I'm loving my coffee
Like milady
Hot, sweet and black
That we might learn to not blaspheme....
Time To Catch The Light
8-18-16
Loving the prog like the legs of a frog
One mediator between God and man and that's Jesus
Whereunto I am ordained by giving of thanks and intercessions
For kings and all in authority
Even those corrupt
Getting ready for the light of day
Come Alexander and Hymenaeus some make shipwreck
One more fix before I bathe
O, war a good warfare
As Eve is deceived
And to He belong the firstfruits
To desire the office of an elder is to desire a good work
For white-topped mountains in the distance....
