Interest (Take Five)
3-12-18
Too many dog ears unintentional from wear and tear
Of a book well outread
Was it something I said
For our first and final dream doorway
In a moment of perception and another album
Dedicated to Jerry
I don't need all of such deception in conversation bright and meaningful
As to bring forth interest
It's more than just another day
I know I will make it through
In that I have hundreds of times before
A better day for respecting the forces of Mother Earth
Along the insecurities
I remember to bring forth the sweets on this dark day
Our spark as to find a way
No such shark at gulf nor bay
As moving smooth
Only to respect today the elements
Adventurous gambling today with my food stamps
Three worlds deep....
Better De Javu Revisited
3-12-18
Three worlds wide
Here I can catch a prize tonight
Good sleep up again hours before the sunrise
To do laundry Lord willing
On settled incarnations as featured on Lifetime Broadcasting
On an album where almost every song is a hit
By our controlled romanticism and better dejavu
Share it free as enrolled without the teeth coffee stained
And ankle not sprained
Seeing the dissatisfied as ones equal
O, compeer my hedge protective from rural America
And our cities freed in an open mind state of awareness
For the jubilee tomorrow Lord willing
As to envy myself from '93
Come and see and soon get yourself free...
Smoking Corn Husks (O, Shucks)
3-12-18
Stay with it and keep on
Born in New York City
My twin somewhere out there
Not just to make it pretty
Not just to check off a block
As to avoid the scare
O, what has become of my colleagues
In tears that follow buffing slabs of metal in pewter class
At my vocational rehabilitation program
As to sneeze because of it stuck in that bittersweet jam
As for the exam I cram
Reach out and grab the air
As Spirit lifts me up
To bring me to the east gate
I love this place
As stars sparkle in Faust's fragile fragrance serving us strangely
Have as many breaks as you see fit
And breaks from brakes as well
Do what you need to do
Just to make it through
How can glass be dead as dead is one is alive....
