heaviness

Heaviness Upon All Spirits
4-12-18

Call it biblical numerology
Twelve disciples
Ten commandments
Seven stars in His right hand
Forty days of rain
And fifty taches of gold
It's good to know in Alighieri
As if to strike another key
For to you that is in me
As marriages are consecrated in the Utah desert
No longer hatred when it's time to get the money
And drive back into town as if to pardon a human error
By ones visage blacker than coal
To take one moment in a clenched fist
Desperate in self-reproach and many other gists
For Sting days of the floors of perilous seas
And another opportunity to be down on ones knees
Bringing heaviness upon all spirits....

Ache Is Shed
4-12-18

Up and at the laundry again
A twister to blow everything down
As we stand our ground as this ache is shed
And Jesus is not dead
Sun-heavy and no more sleeping
In the glimmer of limes in daisy Froth quintescent
Stealing over my face where the lions on Harrison Street roar
And at MacDonnalds I refuse a whore
Sound of her name hectic
As to appear jubilant
And there's plenty of time to rhyme
Not a crime
O, how is gold become dim
As it seems like going down on the world early
In the morning blood on my lower lip
Evie come on down and polish my golden crown
As some pine away slain by thirst
First things first no more cursed.....

On Ephesians 2:12
4-12-18

O, consecrated ones and magnificent fives
Wonderful tens and sanctified twenties
Renew all vows as to acknowledge our victory at the chime of five
Concealing a slight tension treatment to lose it down the track
Whiter than milk and purer than snow
I hear somebody call my name and I say I don't know
But acknowledge that I still have room to grow
Plowing through Fitzgerald
A used book for two dollars
Another Wordsworth classic
Strung out on a line
And an emerald as shiny as me
All for my ossifrage to a slight indisposition
And accomplished is the mission
Aliens from the commonwealth
In a precarious position
Consider and behold.....
