Pessimistic by nature
Optimistic by faith
Supernatural is the only way we can please him today
O, I wish them well today
As so like animals
Fear is our most natural way to live
By to yet trust in oneself
Putting on another pot of cowboy coffee
Dedicated to T.S. Elliot of my psyche
Defined as my dear soul
Where happiness depends upon the happening
And joy comes from the Lord on this sunshiny day
Wherein I take up the sword
Where the kingdom of God is at hand as in you....

In the valley of Elah
We still fight
Because we are the real deal
And we have every right
In that I plow through the book of First Samuel
Straight into the night as David left his supplies
In the hand of our keeper
Greeting his brothers all along the way
Fearing not to meet the reaper
In the valley of Elah we still dwell
We fight our Philistines
Drawing water from a peaceful well
Yet to meet my poetic champion
That would become my good friend
Given hopes today
That we will all be together in the end....
