instant ground

Instant Ground
3-1-16

His flagship still probes
And rends our rocky coast
I quote Robert Frost
As one today to admire the most
Under God lest any man boast
For crowbar and jimmy
This distance is dreaming
We pry open our pickle jar
But we find that we don't get very far
A firm delivered in this cultivation
Take hold of instruction
To keep one from destruction
In a need to be in the presence
Gathering up my muses
Not as imaginative forces
In endless resources
For the instant ground
And the shredded leaf
Don't ask why, go and come again
This was my honest mistake for the pen....

"Love Will Make Us Men"
3-1-16

Working the wind
In lurking where we have sinned
I pray that my man is on tonight
So I can rest assured to be in good hands
A new and better way to Indy
Am I real or just a talker
Wanting to be a walker
The tears climb back into my tinged eyes
All for a grain of sand
Nothing next to the rest of forever
Living on memories in this endeavor
As those that recognize the face
Drawing from four cisterns at one time
By God's grace
I've just got to break these bricks
We ask from where it is
Hard to kick against the pricks
It's the course of the blindman
Love will overcome
I get better at the game of presence
Not as a spectator sport
By my superficial actions seen
Light will draw us in......
