glow

Glow (In Veins)
5-22-17

Think what they feel
Who was the person long ago
Beg, borrow and steal
And thrive upon their thunder
By which to grow
Going to Galway with ivory girls
By the evocation of this figure from the dead
Laying aside hypocrisies
Just to add leaven to the bread
And lively stones well for building up
As a spiritual house and holy priesthood
For ones own good
Submit to every ordinance and subscribe
As dull fury begins to gather again
As this is thankworthy
When men endure grief suffering wrongfully
You can make it through...

Gasworks
5-22-17

As lively stones built up
Who's the card in your hand
To refill the cup
An holy priesthood for ones own good
To offer sacrifices acceptable
Being subject not only to the good and gentle
Whispering that sweet true song
Calling out to me
On an island I will dwell
Given today another chilly spell
And rain that falls for steward and bishop in Jesus
Every member a minister and prayers not hindered
In the sight of this great price as to eschew abomination
And such computation and ensue all righteousness once more....

Gilt-Rimmed
5-22-17

Enough to hold me over
Seven cookies and a handful of grapes
Driving south through Dover
As to discern their heavenly shapes
Living off of crumbs
I save for just one more week
Seeing the light and its radiance
Even when things look bleak
It won't be long
Before I can get out and get what I need
Who is that person long ago to let us know
Where we come up with the money
To see the show quite delicate
I used to go out walking
For prayers being hindered and wanderlust
In flesh and skin I am made as old
Let us lift up our heart.....
