surprise

No More Surprises Please
4-24-17

Hand on the cockatrice's den
I refuse to worry about the near future
Seems a make of time
Come wakeup time so many days
As my heart weeps sweet sobs short
And sleepy
I rehash works from '93
In short and sweet graces
Going into meditative trances
How much I love you
For the earth will be full of knowledge
Stuff we don't get from collage
Dead on the couch
I simplify my study space
Pouring all the remaining blood
At the altar's base
And today get the bare essentials
In our millennial day
Please, no more surprises!

Good Cold Change
4-24-17

Be anxious for nothing
She tries to tell me
As thine hand had founded the kingdoms
Come thorns and briers
Of one day in the dark past
Of trying to climb to the highway
Lean on me when times are bad
Hold on!
In Lyly's book
It is written to just keep on keeping on
As a fossil of Elizabethan discoveries
Some of this is good cold change
As a master of allegory
Hold on!
For valuation in shekels of silver
Jingling in your pocket...
