Slab Of Quartz
4-24-17
Illuminating another slab of quartz
With no such interest in competitive sports
To fix upon their shoulders
From the four corners of the earth
God give me today the good success
As he jumped out my soul remained
And I said "I would work no more resistance
Where the lion would eat straw as the ox
In the seven streams having vivid strange dreams
Smiting it in seven brooks on another day
Of just me and my books
Blinded by dimness
Back to the border to negotiate
With moneychangers...
Red Brick In A Gray Wall
4-24-17
By envy of Ephraim and avarice of Judah
As to consider Allah and Buddha
Over on dry land
Shod to realize there are other names of God
Same message and that is the love
The sun shall be darkened
As to but incline an ear
As I hearkened for one red brick in a gray wall
And three others on the right side of our entrance
With a continual stroke of good luck
I will soon ascend into heaven
Forty days after the ordeal
Going by both books
Caught in dogma and its hooks
For me in the season of more rhyme.....
