provisions

Provisions
10-26-09

Provisions can't make one happy or glad
As while given more
It seems it only drives one mad
Dead or alive
Let them take me
I will survive
Just how they make me
I am yet to bungle and botch with my timepiece
Still upon my right wrist
It is what it is
I need not make my clenched fist
Ask me if I'm happy
And I must say seventy-five percent of the time
And in this room the world spins....

Vigilant Comestibles
10-26-09

Bought a portion of pumpkin seeds
In a two and a half ounce pouch
And many fell out and were scattered between the cushions on my couch
Tenants warn me saying they are food for roaches
I try here at home not to fret as Christmas approaches
Also bought a ration of jerky in a four ounce bag
To my taste it is salty and sweet
To the extent that I don't mind the price tag....

My Shining Tokens
10-26-09

There was a bicycle in the parking lot
With a sign on it reading, rent me
Yet we need no further proof
That he that receives me
Receives He who sent me
I try to keep my mind on the now of tonight
Don't want to fret about how I go back to work
To push with all my might
I consider the stars in the sky and their multitude
With a hope that they represent many industrious endeavors
Yet, in heaven, to be....
