Trouble so comes into view and looms
As we partake in no mourning over our folks' tombs
Trouble is yet to seek us out
As by faith alone we yet stand without
I try to get by on smoke
As upon my pipe I take a sincere toke
Delusional colleague said that my head was fat
In the days when I couldn't even dream that I'd have a cat
But as of today I have two
I wait for a beard to grow
Yet this is not tried or even true....





I Was Taken Away In My Freshman Year

In my freshman year in high school I was psychotic
Yet I still am
But at least now I can be erotic
I have no regrets
In placing all of my bets
Happy to be a slave to household pets
I celebrate my lamentation
As I give God thanks
For the sugar refinery and tobacco plantation
The advantage of CD's is that you don't need to flip or turn
And by that which follows I have much yet to learn
I could die for a slice of pizza at Chuck E. Cheese
As there is no magic here in saying pretty please....

That which is said to be heady
Can either intoxicate or exhilarate
And for what comes next I get ready
To see the next eight moves that lead to my checkmate
A smiley face button will be another thorn in my side
I put it on willingly as I do away with my pride
The geek squad will rule the world
As we depend upon them to fix our machine
As we must accept how the leaves of the trees cease to be green....
