deferential

Deferential
1-31-17

To regard with disapproval and distaste
Don't we all know that haste makes waste while chaste
Frowsy and musty as sin taking occasion by commandment
Wrought in the concupiscence
But for what just so that I can taste it
Afresh, God save you says our blood and kin
Taking occasion by the commandment
In all manner of concupiscence
Come prosperity
Our innate inclination
Our tendency and predilection
Deferential
She tells me to write from the heart
But I don't know where to start
Yielding to opinion with honor and courteous respect
As to flout and scorn
As an ox that treads out of the corn
Where melody is low....

To Turn A Rusk
1-31-17

Ruffled we swagger
Still to delay the task at hand
We flaunt and show contempt and sometimes stumble
To get right back up and shake the dust
In God we trust
For money we lust
Trading my will for His
In submission and yielding  to the opinion
The elegy to me
Putting my money on Vitamin C supplements
Ready to answer just why
To turn a rusk for our beadle
To brush away the husk
And never mind the needle
What is the metaphor in this
But to greet each one with an holy kiss
Of Rufus hue our buskin
On reddish news in ones minor Parish
We cherish....
