theologian

Theologian
1-30-17

How half and half?
Do you mean he kills the fatted calf
and much there is to see under my parasol with benignancy
Our gentle disposition
Where we are free to come and go as we please
Personally as welcome
Our Song for Occupations
Welcome to the factory
Have a job but don't let it have you
In that you are greasy and pinned
Where that soft life was getting me
Back up upon my feet
If the husband is dead
She is free from the law
Looking for Isaac Watts
Another sweet recommendation
O, theologian
Tell it like it isn't
Not as a lampoon
But something more
On one sweet evening
Another apple
Begob, much I have seen.....

Doctor Watts Lampoon
1-31-17

Good humored satire
We spend the winter singing
Where music keeps us warm
Looking for Evelyn Waugh
And her "Decline And Fall"
And "Vile Bodies" rheumatic as the strumpet
As a brother for us to but purify and condone
In a down to earth congregation
O, blithe cloud
Be thou my sunshine
Come the ridicule of our lampoon
I'm at it again for a light good humored satire
Such is my fire going to see Doctor Watts
I find out what can be wrong with my head
In my own world like a rank side of a light surface
Well ye are also become read to the law
By the body of Christ
Our lily like the veil
For dragons in the crease....

We Square This
1-31-17

We square this
A battlement of straw
To serve in newness of Spirit
And not in oldness of the letter
I'm feeling much better
I'd tunnel till my groove
Gasoline through a funnel
Ready to make my next move
Being dear wrench
We were held for a cobweb
Woven in adamant
Cast not your testimony
You know it's a crime
That we should serve in newness of Spirit
Give the coffee a chance to say hello to mankind doubtless
We think it meet of us for poignant secrets
With chivalry and balance to frequently fritter all time away
For I was alive without the law
As to another as carrots raw....
