work

This Is My Work
6-26-11

There is more to it
Than such a transmutation
As I work through it like it were a job to do
As working on myself will be my dayjob
As I set back out to therapy
And my paycheck will be the enlightenment
Wherein I already possess all treasures of abundance
Where my cup runs over all the way back north through Dover
Where the trial of my faith will be my treasure
Where I'll still be subject to pain and pleasure
Just as well a part of life as is love....

Nature Boy
6-26-11

Had another urgency for the antithesis of pain
That becomes as our joy
In the white lion that makes me more of a man
Wherein I am as my inner child
Quite proud to take the title of the nature boy
And I ask myself
What will I do with the rest of my day
Wherein enlightenment will be my worker's pay....

Anthracite
6-26-11

My anthracite
Yeah, she burns with a clean flame
Where I prosper in love
In that I didn't catch her name
To serve as a meditation
Apart from form
With nothing to adhere to
Nor even try to conform
With all day to blow like money
That is as salt water slipping through my fingers
While so soon the month of July is underway
And my, o my where does all the time go
When I stand on the outside looking in
As I surrender to summer solstice and indeed I win....
