Rather Love Them

Fear not, rather love them
To be not above them
In another key of G and in me
And then to go back to your rock
And stand firmly to sense the clatter and its earthquake
Today my mind is in a better place
To live out affinity
And communication that makes reality
Lecturing to the monks of Sufism
Beware when the world loves you so it is said
My recipe for victory
As the choir boys sing
We can let it roll
Brining forth children....




Depths To Be Found

Be not afraid of the word holiness
Meaning separated and by no means flawless
Some pure because of fear
Not the best motive
Not just for old fogies
To observe the ordinance trees put clothes on
As we disrobe and are not ashamed
A bad joke can lead to a poem
Like a sermon in need of self mastery
Through the Spirit in night seasons
Turning my back on everyone
Just to invite the light of today's sun
God, o obliterate any dark attitude
Concerning the bluebird on my shoulder
Don't be afraid of holiness
Use the bad stuff for good...

Obey and succeed
Purity produces power
Desire is not sinful
But control it in wisdom
and restrain it by longsuffering
The King James word for patience
Creating all things for our profit and learning
In the first days of this probation perennial at this distance
And juxtaposition
God, I pray for a miracle
Concerning another good trip
Telling me to bark up your tree
Soon time to lather up and get clean again
In flesh that will not stand fast....
