Of Plumes To Cool
4-23-16
O, my purple haze
And O, my yellow white maize
To boil up later on
When hot or cold
You know it from Pentecost
To rapture
We're already there
No mid-trib nor post-trib
May it go down in my crib
Soon we will be there
Laodocean
But no more quite as complaisant
Was there a man dismayed
When cold need a blanket
When hot, a drink of cold water
To be as a man in love
Invitation or decision
He invites us
Reconciliation causes doors to open
Be kind to one another
It may when sea-winds pierce our solitude....
Blooms In A Damp Nook
4-23-16
Being a Baptist
Offenses close these doors
Our experience as people
I got a lot of good sermons out of it
As ones intimate decision
To step forward and kneel at the altar
Standing at the door
I knock at your heart
I've got more ashes than Wednesday
A plan to plea
Indeed I can today just be me
Lose power and burn out
Sometimes overwhelmed
With high doses of truth
It's all hard stuff, my man
Leading to a statement
And then a cause
For something more
In prayers for my image
A gift of love
Finding fresh Phodora in the woods
I wouldn't miss it for the world....
Denouncing The Indifferent
4-23-16
Likewise a Levite
A beacon, another bright light
We pass by on the other side
Crimson stains are all washed white
One thing is needed
Many have chosen that good part
Which cannot be taken away
Sin keeps our doors closed
O, my purple haze
It's only you
See what love can do
Clapton said this
By the parable of the good Samaritan
To see a smile on every face
And to render grace in the gospel
Super was a long time
We need our fellowship
Jesus will sup with you
Invite him to hack out your front door
To be true....
