Lucky Number Day
6-7-12
Yet to be as a debtor
To intercede for those at work
To wish them all well on their way
When they trim the hedges and do their things well
To see that these branches serve their purpose
In the plan of pleasure and productivity
In all of this
Like an alibi in the volume of the music I play
As these sounds blend together for the better
On a lucky number day of sunshine daydreams
Euphonious and bright...
Where There Is Much Water
6-7-12
It seems that I drink today my tap water
In its excess
Wherein there is hydration of my sustenance
In questions answered about today's events
As I request many blessings upon those at work in the neighborhood
Wherein there is excess to be content with
In the remembrance of such nights
Where I would chase after productivity
As my main objective renounced
To take up a life of being awake by the light of day....
Meaning Well In My Absence
6-7-12
It seems that I forget
What manner of man that I am
When I walk away from my reflection
In the looking glass
With no intentions of antipathy
In my absence from the fellowship
That I already possess
In the company right at home
On this lucky number day
As if I choose to follow this meaning
Only figurative
Forgetting who I am sometimes
Yet still taking steps towards the prize
That I already possess...
Creature
6-7-12
In the worship of the creature
Such is justified by a love for my feline friend
Right beside me in her peaceful half slumber
As I get a clean shave
To yet acknowledge a generous stranger
Taking off his hat as a gesture of kindness
In my yesterday of trials auspicious
Happier today in the firmament partly cloudy and clement
Where wonders won't cease
To brighten the path ahead.....
Pule
6-7-12
Yet to wail and pine and pule
Given the luxury today
To be in where it's cool
Seeing it is well worthwhile
To run the air conditioner
Where consolation becomes my own golden
And silvery rule
Loving the aroma of all that is me
With my alibies to my left and my right
To step out again on faith
To take in another wonderful sight
To see just what my eyes do long for
In that I wail, pine and pule
And pant after sweet waters
Available to all that have this desire...
Moderate Volume Day
6-7-12
O, what did I come out to see
But an angel standing in the sun
Dressed in red and black
In that I feel the warmth of frock and frack
In the sound of my moderate volume
On the dial of compatible computer speakers
Giving my feet room to breathe
In sandals instead of retro sneakers
Hearing a reply of hello and goodbye
To get on with all of which
I have been called to do.....
