Criticism
1-21-14
My Miriam is criticized
On that my McDonalds fries are supersized
According to my blemish and imperfection
Still questioning the deity of my faith as my possession prized
As so Aaron will be critiqued
Where the temperature set at one degree hath peaked
Dealing with our Samarians
Where one's sweet savor hath reeked
Making due with our imperfection once more embraced
Never to know the ways of the prudent or of the chaste
Getting dirty for our higher calling
Where nothing really goes to waste....
Decree
1-21-14
Making plans for the provision
That I already possess
Being one to turn around to repent and confess
Living a simple life
Just me and my bible and my pen
Hoping to again go west tomorrow
To establish my firm decree in these intercessions
For those that make mention of our God above
Where it's not about what we can do of ourselves
Where the greatest of all attributes is love
In that I don't remember where I was
When I came to on the day of my sobriety
It seems like I have already died
In waking to this of which is well that...
On Daniel 6:8
1-21-14
Yet to murmur, whine and yammer
Hitting the nail straight on its head with a rusty hammer
Getting the gist of it even if I might stutter and stammer
Finding my voice
Of which joy is my choice
Waiting for the ordeal to go well
In that I have my stories yet to tell
According to the laws of the Medes and Persians
According to common knowledge
That one dost not try to buy nor sell
Where such a decree will altar not
In making my cup of tea
Once, twice and thrice again as hot...
Turret
1-21-14
According to the heights of turrets and towers
We can bask yet in the depths of our privelages of powers
Seen as our abilities to be put into their practices
So that I might write on and on here for hours
By these domelike structures that we can see
Revolving horizontally
In a vessel of what God has made in me
In that I am a deep thinker
Whom wonders about his roots
Hoping not to be as a tree
Planted in a plastic bucket
So that these roots can yet grow...
Freedom
1-22-14
By one's freedom to do as he sees fit
According to this Christian privilege
To stay home and read my Scripture
Of which I will not quit
Being as one to be rewarded
In my toleration of that which is it
Keeping all of these writings in spiral tablets
Of Spirit and flesh
On my journeys from my Horeb to your Kadesh
Glad to not have gone back to town
Where next week's endeavors are ripe and fresh...
Roundelay
1-22-14
Writing my roundelay
As so in the dead of winter
I have my month of May
Scribbling these words
As my own way in which to pray
Taking another prolific session due to my snow day
Writing my roundelay
Having encouragement as its theme
Being one to yet regard last night's crazy dream
And I will try to write this happy song
Writing my roundelay
Where it was good with us all along
Writing my roundelay
Here now and today...
