back to work

Back To Work
6-28-14

Told by my inward mentor
To get back to work on what is written here
In hopes that my new found faith will override all doubt and fear
Given time set aside for this devotion
Where they give me the potion
To contain mine emotion
Hoping to make my sincere apology
To all of whom I lied to
In the land of Goshen
Knowing I cannot take it back
Inasmuch as many have taken in hand
Another plan of attack
O, if the heavens could be measured
It will be not according to what we lack....

On Jeremiah 31:35
6-28-14

As I begin another tome
I let my mind wander
Traverse, rove and roam
As God doth give me sun for a light
And an ordinance for the moon
As soon I wrap up another month of June
In that it's not too late nor too soon
Dividing yet the seas
As our waves yet roar
Having compassion on the gambler and the whore
As one to learn of war, no more
Meaning no ill in the things I do
In finding out what this is all for
Hopefully more than just words written here
As eyes wax dim and sore....

Keep It Up
6-28-14

Keep it up, my man, myself
Hold those cards tight to your chest
Thinking not of gain or wealth
Knowing not what to do by such skill or stealth
By the covenant of the house of Judah for good health
We are to be as beacons
And if the heavens would be measured
We will cast off the seed
To feed all in need
As the measuring line doth go forth
Upon the hill of Gareb
But O, what can this mean to you and I
But a sincere apology for my lie
Keep it up and press on
And don't ask why....

Early Rising
6-28-14

Orient beams yet are reflected
As hours are killed and then soon resurrected
As time is spent in verse and rhyme
To archives indiscriminately selected
By the gem and pearl
And by another flag to unfurl
By such exceptionally fine
And lustrous shine
By four years going without my sweet wine
By Orient beams yet illuminating
By the army besieging my Jerusalem
In no longer hating
O, why do you prophesy of such
As with your shadow you get back in touch
Soon to turn out my light and sleep on it....

Buy My Field
6-28-14

Though we fight with the Chaldeans
We will not prosper
As one tries to carry his own weight
My work is cut out for me tomorrow
To make things new
And to know good success
In all of my endeavors
Taking this one day at a time
Like sterling silver thoroughly excellent
To buy my field in Anathoth
And to add spice and salt to my broth
In that I look back on all that I have seen
Clad today in a shirt of violent and peaceful green....

Right
6-28-14

For such a right of one's inheritance
I know the word in being tomorrow the early bird
In hopes to rise again at four
To taste of more
And learn war no more
But to battle through
In finding what it's for
Planning to open up my window
And bask in the crickets' song
And so I purchased the field of Hanameel
But to admire he that weighed the money
On scales of silver sterling
For such a right to this life
Where I count my blessings
And look upon all that is going right....

It's Time To Pray
6-28-14

Giving the deed and evidence of purchase to Baruch
Wondering why I didn't think of this before
In my attitude of gratitude
To show my faith inasmuch as many have taken in hand
To set in order this narrative
Losing my will to continue
In a need to rest and pray for my tomorrow
Hoping to be honest from this day forth
About all of my sorrow
I make intercession
In all I lend and borrow
Giving the deed and evidence
In that in such
I learn to make sense....
