Today's Request (For Being)
6-13-14
Praying that I might enter again into my being
To yet stand fast and not fleeing
To no longer depend upon what I could be seeing
As the nations that are as the remnant
Will prove them and teach them war
We hear their heartbeat
And find out what it's for
We see their tears in the rainfall
And we're left only wanting more
As the Lord hath left them
Without driving them hastily out
Praying that I might enter again this presence
And see beyond my blindness of this doubt....
Collop
6-13-14
Lose some and win some
Through them I prove them
Whether they keep the way
Or go again astray
By this calcification
I find more I can say
By this deposition of intolerable facts
The maker humbles and then again exacts
To yet harden and solidify
Coming closer to saturation
Sitting out from such a waltz
I have no agenda today save just this
By such substances colloidal
That bring about higher states of bliss
The sun might melt our wings
Tonight by our feast upon our collop
We make the scene.....
Of Dunite Igneous
6-13-14
Of dunite igneous
Of olivine prayer
It is better for a man to marry
Than to burn with passion
Of such an iron skillet
To fry one's eggs
And not according to fashion
Turning over my Achtung Baby old school cassette
The nineties were a time of transition
By which we yet flourish
By the music we face up to
To spiritually nourish
You know they don't see you
When she walks into the room
The chapter does not seem to apply to my life
It's no secret at all
Remaining in the place of my own calling
A man will rise and fall
From the sheer face of love
I reach deep within and far above....
agenda A (Part 4)
6-13-14
Folds of flesh are served at tables of tribulation
Trying all tendencies yet trite
And my only agenda today is to read Scripture and write
As they cry unto the Lord and he raises up a deliverer
And we make our way through the day into the night
As so he doth but prevail
In that all things are made right
Waiting for the end of the world
Yeah, wait on the Lord
And he will come down and save us from the mess we're in
Seeking closure, the land has rest forty years
amongst such Sidonians
Where folds of flesh are served
To strengthen shepherds
According to our sorrows
That lead to joy today.....
On First Corinthians 7:5,6
6-13-14
Of olivine magnesium iron silicates
I know not what to say or even think
Where our abode is made as a dunghill
And I make clean again my kitchen sink
Rending due affection to one's better half
So that it won't need to stink
Don't turn around again, you gypsy heart
Not to deprive one another
Except for a consent of a time
To give yourself to fasting and prayer
And get back together when times are right
It doesn't matter much to you
When we're cut adrift and still floating
Said as a concession
But not as a commandment.....
By My Preference (Gray)
6-13-14
For the form of the world is passing away
For these morning skies by my preference are yet gray
For I am given something more I can say
For I can breathe deep and beseech God for this beatitude
I have the whole weekend ahead of me
To express this gratitude
Bound by such a law
As long as he's alive
And such will be forever
Where we are as the bride
And he is as the groom
The form of the world is passing away
And for love we make room......
Left Handed
6-13-14
Living with what I cannot rise above
All messed up with opera in my head
Learning to accept the things I cannot change
Baby, baby light my way
For the cause of love
And I think to also have this spirit dwelling within me
But not to boast nor push and shove
Plowing on into chapter eight
God will say yes or no or sometimes wait
We know that we all have knowledge
Knowledge puffs up but love yet edifies
Living with what I cannot rise above
Ehud made a dagger with two edges of a cubit length
As so all day today the Lord is my strength......
My Iron Skillet
6-13-14
Obdurate and willful
So I seem to be in the face of all that is labile and willing
I choose to fight against the grain
Concerning things offered to idols
We know to all have knowledge
Brass browed and yet stiff necked
We know that such is nothing in the world
Hoping that these compositions
Will be more than just filling in this empty space
By many lords and many gods
As common as street corners and traffic lights
Such will be green again
So we can pass on through
And so that I might reach out to you
Obdurate and willful
I press onward....
