girded waist

Girded Waist
5-16-14

His waist is girded with the gold of Uphaz
As soon we get used to it all and all of that jazz
Today I've got an attitude of me
As far as my dim eyes can yet see
According to projection
In setting again my mind free
It's almost eleven in the morning on a Friday
And it doesn't get better than this
Choosing to disregard
What might be going on outside my door
Beating swords into plowshares
To learn of war, no more....

Not Just Another History Lesson
5-16-14

I didn't know that Alexander the Great was in the book
I thought it was only another history lesson
In all that it took
At home I scribble these lyrics
Determined not to worry about it anymore
Purified as I am pure
As long as this is love
On another golden shore
And I, Daniel alone saw the vision
Just to find out what it can be for
Every word is nonsense
But I understand it
Down to its core
As she disappears into the sheathed firmament
Where treasures lie in wait yet in store
I want it so badly
And I already have it in my hands....

Decree
5-16-14

Making my orders to give yet the decree
I saw a dream that made me afraid
According to what I can touch and see
A mountain is fashioned
As one's mind is made
To bring the wise men before me
In that we have it made in the shade
Seemingly a dangerous place
To be given my ordeal
And making my decree
To yet make known the interpretation
So I can learn of all that lies in me....
