fly
Fly
9-2-14
He doth fly away like a dream
Behold, I
Even I will partake in black coffee
In not need of cream
Until these grounds are scattered abroad
To fill my quota with these fermented grapes
Of another consciousness stream
As such a word I had here
That it did not pertain to me
I'm afraid to say
It's just a pen
As so I will be at it again
He doth run away like a dream
I'll go when I'm good and ready
Going solo and rocking steady....
The Less
9-2-14
The less is blessed of the better
As so such a reply can only get wetter
Then Job answered and said I can live with this bound and shackle
And in fetters all my close friends
Yeah, they love me
Voices say, O be gentle
As there are none above me
It's terrifying when I don't know
Are you getting all of this
Tossing the bone to the dog yet to grow
As I plead my disgrace against me
I am what I am in you and I....
On Job 19:20 (Look this Up)
9-2-14
Rock on, O righteous dude
And apply that tenacious attitude
My breath is but offensive
And I'm not in the mood
Come explore your dream's creation
Rock on my man
In joy and elation
I cry aloud there is no justice
To wake up lost in an empty town
I'm all set for the road come tomorrow
O, count me as a stranger
In that I learn to drown my sorrow
I have escaped by the skin of my teeth
And I have nothing left to lend or to borrow
Because the papyrus of skin would perish in time
Rock on, my main man
And write again your rhyme....
My Redeemer Lives
9-2-14
Ye are not satisfied with my flesh
As in flesh and bone
It is impossible to please you
As fields I yet cultivate and thresh
It's a sad sad story
My goal is more than a thought
By the statutes
By which I am raised and taught
I grow too old for my own ears
How my heart yearns within me
Since the root of the matter so lieth beneath
It's my ruin I must say
So you still question why
As so but doth echo will be my lie...
I Choose Freewill
9-2-14
Classic rock has its moments
It's time I choose my freewill
So much that I forget to make it rhyme
For wrath brings the punishment
Of stealth and sword
And all with be well tonight
In my good Lord
According to Zophar's first speech
And the twentieth book entitled Pergamos
Remind me if I forget
Pace yourself and you will see fit
To go there again
And Labor Day is far spent
And it's time again to pay the rent
Drink up, O dreamer
And give up your worry for Lent
Classic rock has its moments
And I am satisfied...
Get Smart, Don't Start
9-2-14
O, do you not know this of old
Playing with my three quarters deck
Yet to be but bought and sold
Content to let the days go by
This is my passion
I will not fold
It's a tragedy and it seems to taken forever
As the spirit of my understanding
Causes me to but answer
Waiting for someone to come along
And say let your lisp be loosed
And be free from your cancer
By one of the most sublime of passages
It becomes as cobra venom within me...
