welcome

Welcome
2-2-15

O, brethren breathe
O servants seethe
Welcome to Decapolis
O pilgrims press onward
In no need to bereave
By the purpose of testing my faith
Is accepted by many
In souls so investing
Welcome to Decapolis
And blessings yet infesting
Count it all joy when you fall into various trials
By bowls, by trumps
And as well by pouring out of vials
Let patience have her perfect work
If any lack wisdom may we ask for it
Think big
Request something impossible
And God will smile down on you
In divers fashions and styles
Welcome to Decapolis....

Encumbered
2-2-15

I ask O, how can Numbers help
And am answered all Scripture is profitable
Like a bear bereaved of another whelp
She moves on and accepts
That God giveth and taketh away
Today I simply rock on to Stipe
Helping me to digest another shadow and its type
As so the Levites were not numbered
Where scholars are in bondage and encumbered
Chosen to keep charge of these instruments
To do the service of the tabernacle which is You....

Pearl Of Great Price
2-4-15

Where the extremes meet
She whom is of Babylon, elect doth greet me
Here looking for middle ground erect
And there is nothing we need fear
Hidden deep inside
I can make it one more day
One more month, one more year
Where sorrow is better than mirth
When it comes down to our time spent on earth
By faith I take up the pen again
Sitting on gold to find what it could be worth
As a pearl is made from irritation
As back pain are healed
Wherein I recline
By pangs of rebirth...

I'll Eat When I'm Hungry
2-4-15

An empty stomach can be yet filled
With the love in all time resurrected
As it is killed
Tracing coffee stains upon the page
With purpose spilled right next to God's amazing Grace
In the form of a feline companion
Far from self willed
Chosen and elect
Frozen and erect
There is no warmth without such coldness
Where highways intersect
As love is my reason to rise tomorrow
As there will come joy amongst such sorrow....

Quadruple
2-4-15

Where darkness falls
The moon again is waning
By pyramids
By spheres
By cubes and balls
In this race the tortoise will be gaining
And the motor of God's amazing Grace is yet running
And one day to us will be forever
Crafty and cunning
Taking off my spectacles
To see this page more clearly
At nightfall to adjust my nearsightedness
Yet content in my limitation
Knowing it is God who made these eyes
By his sovereign act of love
In ones scruple
In a place where this glory
Will be quadruple....

Shortsighted
2-4-15

By eloquent and comprehensive denunciation
I decline from the Valentines Day social
Because I choose to drift between here and there in freewill
It's a sad story that makes it real
To become as their intercessor
Not an excuse for absence
But a choice to serve as my gift
Shortsighted
Almost to blindness
As one to practice brotherly kindness
By glory
By his own
As something that needs not be etched in stone
I will never need to go this alone...

On Second Peter 1:11 (Entrance)
2-4-15

Yes
God knows I might change my mind
And show up if I'm having a good day
Two Saturdays from now
For the cause of loving people
To be as a beacon and high spire and steeple
Yet shortsighted
Showing signs of age
Wrinkles form and I am glad to turn the page
Come justice painted green yet unfledged
Yet crass
I am the enlightened one tonight
But still will fade like the grass
Sporting such supremacy
I have this right as a believer
Knowing that in time
My inspection will pass
By the entrance supplied abundantly
An open door is on this Path to perfection
Yes, God knows I just might change my mind
And get up and go
Brother Frost says that I always have that choice....
