alloted

Allotted
9-3-15

How long will you leave me alone
Till I swallow my own spittle
Keeping up tradition of our Christmas peanut brittle
For now shall I sleep in the dust
And now will I keep my heart and mind from lust
No, not add to his words
But from time to time feel free to coin a phrase
Thankful for my shelter from the hot sun's rays
Surely I am more brutish than any man I know
I count it as a strength to confess this
As soon it is time to go
I see the local advocate of recovery
Why has thou set me as a mark against thee
So that I am a burden to myself
I'm on another good start
I pray that I will make it another good one
O, feed me with food allotted....

Utterance
9-3-15

Wordsworth kept coming to mind
For our rare earth
The soil where much gold we find
Then answered Bildad our Shuhite
How long will thy mouth be a strong wind
O, does God pervert judgment
Or doth the Almighty pervert justice
Scorning obedience to his mother
The mavens of the valley will pluck it out
And the young eagles will eat it
And the fire never says, "enough"
It is just to want more and more of ones God
And to expect a miracle
According to Agur our assembler
Following with King Lemuel
Devoted to God for the records of the utterance
Our praise...

Of Wood, I Mean The Pun
9-3-15

Good clean fun of wood
To mean the pun
I'm yet looking at forever
As he satisfied my soul  tonight
And until then I just write
If thou will seek unto God betimes
And make the supplications
You won't need a gun
I'm not worried about tomorrow
Nor the weight that seems to be on my shoulder
The metric ton
If thou were pure and upright
Surely you would awake for thee
And make habitations of your righteousness prosperous
By the words of Lemuel
The circle of intemperance
It's time we do our things in moderation
What, my son!
Trust and believe
Anoint oil unto the dust and you rejoice
In that you grieve
Good clean fun
Though thy blessing is small
Yet thine latter end should greatly increase...

Spider Grasps
9-3-15

For we are but of yesterday
Tired of waiting for tomorrow to come
I didn't catch the buzz at the wedding from the Coke and rum
Shall not they teach thee and tell thee
And utter words out of their heart
For I inquire of a former age
Just for the tact to turn the page
And prepare myself to the search of their fathers
The spider skillfully grasps with his hands
And the fly caught in the web understands
For a greyhound and a male goat also
And cacti for our water on desert sands
Accept positive criticism
Set it all aside
Tomorrow is another day....

Checking It Out
9-4-15

When you sojourn
Make sure to return
Elimelech checks out Moab
In that he had something to learn
One won't continue if one never checks it out
As so going is what it's all about
Green light, preen flight, lean sight
Face up to your doubt
God's thoughts are not our own
If you miss one day
Don't let your guard down
And never mind that second trip into town
As that secret ambition bites the nails of success
Needing tenacity to go on when it gets tough
He will do of his good pleasure
As the twilight never says, "enough"...

Meat In The House
9-4-15

God has me up at this hour for a reason
For me to have my ability and power
And come to terms with a changing of season
Fleeing from the sheer face of love
Such is the reason
Give so that there be meat in thine house
Fruitful and fertile for spruce, pine and myrtle
Moab, the picture of the world
Babylon, the translation of captivity
Tithe when broke and be blessed
As the other syllable at times is stressed
You never check out Moab alone
Seeking for the pearl of great price
Wanting the larger part of the wish bone
what we think we look for in the world
Has always been here with God.....
