Recovery
10-8-12
Recovery is synonymous to our healing
Where reasoning is combined with our feeling inspired by another saving cut
Learning to live with my pattern and indigenous rut
Using another pen I bought at the dollar general store
Thankful for what I have and indeed I am given more
Where recovery is synonymous to healing....
My Pompadour
10-8-12
The hue of my pompadour
Reigns in the magnitude of my favorite stars
As I lean upon the pillar of grace
That is never exhausted by these dark areas of time and space
Where the light is always made manifest
In all that I can see in the miracle of just this hue of pompadour
On the west horizon to signify stormy weather sometime tomorrow....
Auriga And Capella
10-8-12
My charioteers assume their position
In my clear night sky
With Auriga and Capella of its first magnitude in eminence
And to write of this I purpose my gesture or reverence
In awe of a weal
That I choose for these charioteers
That serve as the sign for shepherds
To make their way to my manger
As love will be bestowed
Even upon the stranger....
Washed Clean
10-8-12
I would like to attempt
To write about how the blood of Christ
Cleanses one's consciousness of sin
O, how would it be like to wake up one day
And not remember where we went wrong
O, will the poet write his new masterpiece
And esteem such a composition as his spiritual song
When the veil so is rent in the midst and is washed clean and pure
As I watch the Romney speech on mute
Missing the action from the class of eastern philosophy
That I know enough about not to be one to attend
In that I can be just me
With no need to pretend....
On Hebrews 13:18 (check this out)
10-8-12
Pray for us so again is stated in verse eighteen
Where God is the same yesterday, today and forever
I pray for them whom are at work today
And this is something
Being today's only sacred endeavor
Pray for us so was the command I take upon me today
For a refuge in a storm of a dry yet driving rain
Where coldness makes her way to my expanse
I pray for them as such an intercession
Will be to me my song and dance....
My Simple Ode
10-8-12
Argotic and eclectic
Are the tastes of one who has been there
I claim to be among these
Where I take my humble position at my poetry seat
Of my southeast corner
Where miracles are wrought in argotic and eclectic perspectives
On a day of fasting for my Jesus and his love and grace everlasting
This is my simple ode of devotion....
Old Deal New
10-8-12
Three for a dollar
Was my deal from a stray cat
To whom I wish prosperity in my tuna fish
A dollar a day to make come true my every wish
And if such a story has its happy ending
Then tonight I will turn off my light and rest assured
That Jesus loves me as if I were his only
Calling this day beautiful even if such is overcast and gray
Three for a dollar still is the deal
And a dollar a day earned for this faithfulness....
I'm A Winner
10-8-12
There remains a succinct observation
About the relationship between faith and practice
When I have hope to do the things I read
And not only hear it
Written down between the pages
In lines of faithful ink
Hearing a bird song through my window
Beginning to read the book of James
Dealing with the topics of prejudice and healing
As such recovery will be more than just a feeling
In such a succinct observation
Made in the day of the scholar
Both idle and diligent
And both poor and rich
The loser and therefore the winner....
