released

Released
8-8-15

No, I don't know what you are going through
Come eight after two my other wristwatch chimes
To let ground soak the bottoms of my pantaloons
In modern pantomime
It is something I need learn how to perform
As a viscous man, the bust of and accomplice of a clown
As an object of witticism and ridicule
A target, a goal
And my limit upon my hill
On the top of my butte
Rising abruptly above the surrounding land
I will know the joy of the Lord today
If this is what I believe
As Jeremiah is released from prison....

Hogshead
8-8-15

Sixty-three gallons to a hogshead
For eagles' trying quite underfed
She is hungry in that I know not that I am
Our quip clever and witty remark or comment
I scribble these lyrics in the halflight
And I'm in a need for a jumpstart
For a remark sharp and sarcastic
To quibble and to cavil
There's a fire in me by Quotidian writings
I know not what I say
But I'm getting somewhere with it
Of ague and fever recurring daily
I ramble on and one day I play my available Zeppelin archives
I step out into the night when lonely
Quotidian....

Agueweed
8-8-15

Open the door
Because I want a little more
To find out what it's all for
I pray for a sister in need
In Jesus' name I pray that she will get some rest
For agueweed and boneset
Of white flowers in a flat opened cluster
O, Tuesday again I will pass muster
Of gentian yellow, white and red
God has a purpose of me being up early today
Another tonic far from ironic
Of boneset composite
God is finally doing something in me
For another thorough most
Superfluous
Where do we go from here
Only God knows...

Wasted
8-8-15

I need make sure I don't repeat the matter
Where gossip tears down relationships
Wasted time gone by
Tasted is the crime of the cry
Shout it out
But not too loud
At this time of the morning
When almost everyone else is asleep
Of land wild and desolate
Another good start
Yet to enfeeble these knees
Physically debilitated
Useless and unavailing
I wish you were here
Yet to engross oneself in U2 cassettes
To occupy the mind
With all that is apart from the unprofitable
Breaking down the walls in the plain of Aragah
We will find our way...
