sobriety

Sobriety
1-6-12

Sobriety is knowing who you are in God
Apart from the cessation of the wine of which I've been delivered from
Late last summer where I am given new strength and wisdom in experience
Where I am acquainted with things contrary
In the friction of this life to refine weak points
That remain as God does rearrange me till I'm more sane
In my sobriety coming up on the seventeenth month mark
Where so light is shined in the dark....

Stiffnecked
1-6-12

Yet stiffnecked in going my own way
In my carnal imperfections
In this I humble myself
In that I am not complete
Carried in this life to many other places
By my stinking feet
A member less comely of a higher esteem
Where witness will be a come true dream
As knowledge will be a ministry
To share what I have read
And miracles will be done
In all that is yet to be said
Yet stiffnecked
Yet this serves a purpose in example...

Turning Around
1-6-12

I do my one eighty and three sixty
In my ways of study
Putting aside comparative religion
To go back to the basics
So that I might simplify my understanding
To be true to the Word
With its power to bring me peace
In my knowing and imparting of all I've seen
And it is good to be here while I can
Where it's about the message and not just the man...

Got Milk
1-6-12

Wanting to put away a part of my flesh
That seems to have hindered my spiritual growth
For some time now coming back to what is before my eyes
And I have tasted that the milk of the word is good
Where I am wiser now in all that is understood
And I bless the day I was brought into the world
To speak the truth all along the way
Where now I know a new lifestyle
Of living for the light of day....
