Apostle

Apostle
6-7-12

Receiving apostleship
With the grace to give us strength
To run before us a good race
When we won't understand the book
When we don't know the author
He is the author of life and love
In that we thrive upon the milk of this word
Appreciated even when it was expired
For a day or two
In our receiving of apostleship
To be witnesses of what we learn in the dark
So we can teach in the light....

Trimming Hedges
6-7-12

Crusados and pesitoes in my pocket
Of a pair of jeans on my bedroom floor
Yet with no regard to what is material
In that I am content in no need to seek out more
Where all I have to offer is a prayer
Yet at least this is something
As working men trim the hedges of the adjacent façade
That I take upon my face for their prosperity...

Flavor
6-7-12

Potations of sherry and negus
Make up the consistency of the broth delicate and pleasing
To a palate of propensity
Where I will intercede
For all at their work
In advocacy of the needy
This will be my work today
In garrulous and loquacious rhythm and rhyme
By way of the ink I still take for granted
Knowing my abilities
In that we are not alone...

Lucky Number Day
6-7-12

Yet to be a debtor
To intercede for those at work
To wish them all well on their way
When they trim the hedges and do their things well
To see that these branches serve their purpose
In the plan of pleasure and productivity in all of this
Like an alibi in the volume of the music I play
As these sounds blend together for the better
On a lucky number day
Of sunshine daydreams euphonious and bright...

Where There Is Much Water
6-7-12

It seems that I drink my tap water in its excess
Wherein there is hydration of my sustenance
In questions answered about today's events
As I request many blessings
Upon those at work in the neighborhood
Wherein there is excess
To be content in the remembrance
Of such nights where I would chase after productivity
As my main objective renounced
To take up a life of being awake by the light of day.....

Meaning Well In My Absence
6-7-12

It seems that I forget
What manner of man that I am
When I walk away from my reflection
In the looking glass with no intentions of antipathy
In my absence from the fellowship
That I already possess in the company right at home
On this lucky number day
If I choose to follow this meaning
Only figuratively forgetting who I am sometimes
Yet still taking steps toward the prize that I already possess.....
