faun

My Marble Faun
2-23-18

Being fearless in doing the right thing
For the marble faun
A classic tale of evil and innocence
Sensed in a bind but I don't mind
My reason of ice and wherein the snow is hid
Grief doesn't need to be as to go to nothing
And perish under Kenyon and Donatello
Where water is plentiful in cisterns of jade business as usual
Made to be made as the poison is tasted
And the love that doth support us chosen to my stove and supplanter
Only one color dead and hue deceased....

My Marble Faun (Part 2)
2-23-18

Seeing it's outcome as analysis
All eyes watching now
So it seems money wouldn't be the issue
If I could publish these poems in new books like new wine in old bottles
As I allow it to be not without blame in human nature
It just happens to happen in a house in the woods
In a virgin's shrine built around my love for her jaded and shaded
By reason of brooks and books and more books
For the companies of Sheba and troupes of Tema
O, deliver me from the enemy's hand this weekend
And for weeks to come on the edge of precipice....

On Job 6:27-28
2-23-18

Did I say "Bring it unto me"
Or did I settle with well being
As Job answers Bildad
Smoke break, O my bad
They will be my comforters in ascetic company
Still growing in what I am knowing
For me of your substance
Where all fear shares the same origin
Now therefore be content for the empire
As I take you in my sweet stained sanity jaded and shared
Yea, you overwhelm the fatherless
And dig a pit for your acquaintence
Now therefore be content....

Look Upon Me (For It Is Evident)
2-23-18

Teach me and I will not hold my tongue
Bringing one to his knees
Snakes and lizards creating certainty in the midst
Look upon me for it is evident unto you if I lie
Return, I pray you
Praying for Gina going off to school
There is safety in compassion
In doing the right thing
Calling us to our feet back here again
Fastening it on pegs for mussels and crab legs
Keep silence O coastlands and shout out, O valleys
Between acclivities like grasshoppers
Come into the fold of God!

On Mosiah 1:8
2-23-18

Better to go down swinging
In the hymns I will be singing
Many things did king Benjamin teach
Scarcely it shall be planted  by the strength of His power
And the glory of His name and Word
In the mirror shattered by this pose and the crutch of my thorns and roses
Planted by Moses striking the olfactory of many more
Onto whom shall it be equal
I open up the door and walk outside whom in righteousness
Called him to His beautiful feet
Up the hill of 29th Street
Not one is missing
Busy plans to be kissing...
