Poem (About Outlook)
2-16-18
Give it twenty minutes
Give it another chance
Another opportunity to dance
Where things are changing for the better
And we are not helpless
Stephen said this much
Nothing on tap today but the cashing of my check
And ten for the weekend to imply the statement
Trying to have faith in what we write to you
Back in July of '93
As mistaken in its context
Under the eye of the day
And black lights for the foolish heart
O, Queen time to take shelter
In our detailed narrative
It's not too late....
Indivisible
2-16-18
Behold a king will reign
Unfold the wing for what is sane in what lies between us
Sometimes much too emotional
Do you beg to differ in learning to give in
Nothing you should fear
Have mercy for compassion
Where all are brothers
Thinking that things are changing for the better
Soon I must go there are write on right on
You get what you give away freely
In no want of rebellion where all are friends
Seemingly still invisible
where my peace is indivisible....
Of Yesterday's Theologians
2-16-18
Between a hundred dollar bill and a cup of coffee
God forbid it should ever come to this
In detailed narratives
We're just buying time
Just like the good old days
Where the Pepsi is whiskey and chewing ice cubes
All today is looking up as a man will be a hiding place
From wind and rain
You have sinned for our pleasure and pain
Back in August of '94
I let them paint my trout door
Still dancing with you.....
